Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
8 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Teddy Parkinson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
10 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Riley Kerestes! The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Gwen Towbar and Stewart Dunkirk.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kerestes tries to close the distance and clinch but Parkinson swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Kerestes uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Parkinson. Kerestes closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Parkinson to the mat! Parkinson manages to get full guard. Parkinson has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall. Kerestes postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Parkinson wants to stand but Kerestes is controlling the position. Parkinson is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Parkinson is working an open guard so Kerestes takes the opportunity to get back to his feet. Parkinson pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Parkinson missing with a left hand there. Kerestes was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Kerestes is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Kerestes looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Parkinson is fending him off so far but Kerestes persists. Nope, Parkinson circles away and we're back to standing.

Kerestes uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Parkinson. Kerestes bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Kerestes uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Parkinson. Parkinson misses with a few strikes there.
Parkinson throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Kerestes. Parkinson connects with the punch.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Parkinson connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe. Parkinson throws a big shot that misses. Parkinson lands a slapping body shot.
Parkinson throws out a loose jab but Kerestes uses good head movement to avoid it. Parkinson connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Kerestes momentarily.
Teddy Parkinson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Kerestes scores with a takedown into Parkinson's guard. Kerestes has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Parkinson is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Kerestes is controlling him. Parkinson is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Kerestes content to stall in guard here. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Parkinson bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Kerestes's guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kerestes thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage. Parkinson drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Parkinson jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Kerestes keeping full guard, as Parkinson tries to pass. Kerestes looking for a sweep. Not yet Kerestes, not yet. Parkinson with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. Kerestes looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Kerestes looks gassed! The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Parkinson stopping the sweep attempt from Kerestes. Parkinson pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Kerestes is keeping the position for now.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Parkinson is fighting to break Kerestes's control of his arms but Kerestes is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment. Parkinson thows a big elbow that misses. Parkinson tries to free his leg and advance position but Kerestes is retaining full guard. Parkinson is working hard here to advance position. Kerestes can't keep his opponent in guard - Parkinson advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. Kerestes wants to control but Parkinson is keeping busy and won't allow it. Kerestes wants to get back to full guard but Parkinson has passed into side control. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Riley Kerestes will probably get the nod. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

That's one minute gone in the round. Kerestes throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Parkinson because Kerestes loaded up on that one. Kerestes takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Parkinson is squirming around, avoiding Kerestes's attempts to control the action. Kerestes is breathing heavily. Parkinson keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.

He's got his arms around Parkinson's waist but Parkinson gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Kerestes off to one side. Parkinson lands a right hook to the body.

That was a close second round but I would say that Teddy Parkinson will probably get the nod. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!

Parkinson misses with a wild body shot. Parkinson misses the jab. Parkinson fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Kerestes manages to avoid it. Parkinson connects with a right hand. Kerestes shakes it off. Parkinson is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Kerestes. Parkinson swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Parkinson throws a series of punches but Kerestes avoids them all with ease. Good exchange - Parkinson coming out on top. Kerestes takes one to the chin there. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Kerestes closes the distance and clinches. Kerestes pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Parkinson throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Parkinson throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Kerestes stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Parkinson will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Parkinson sizes up Kerestes with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle. Parkinson stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush. Parkinson fails to land with a series of punches.
Parkinson lands with a kick to the temple. Kerestes shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?" Kerestes on the wrong end of a nice hook. Parkinson throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Riley Kerestes is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Kerestes shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Parkinson's guard. Kerestes trying to control the position from guard on top but Parkinson is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Kerestes takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Parkinson is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.

Parkinson stalks Kerestes and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Kerestes's face. Kerestes staggers backwards, shaken. Kerestes blocks a jab. Kerestes ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Kerestes shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Parkinson pushes Kerestes away with a front kick. Kerestes shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Parkinson defends it nicely. Teddy Parkinson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Riley Kerestes.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Parkinson scores with a hook to the body. Kerestes takes a step back and tries to catch his breath. Parkinson scores with a hook. A right-left combo lands from Parkinson. Parkinson uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Kerestes has time to react. Parkinson lands with a nice combination. Kerestes backs away looking to recover. Kerestes walks into a left hand. Teddy Parkinson is winning the standup battle so far. Parkinson scores with a hook. Parkinson lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin. Parkinson cracks Kerestes with a right hand to the side of the head. Kerestes fails to land the takedown. Parkinson closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Kerestes on the wrong end of some ground and pound.
And that's the end of the fight! Teddy Parkinson showed his dominance in that final round. I think Parkinson has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
