Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Lightning Storm (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ronnie Nose (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Lightning Storm!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ronnie Nose!
The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Chris Downing and George Francis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Storm misses with a wild combination.
Nose slips under a jab from Storm.
A slow jab from Storm misses its intended target.
Nice cross by Nose.
Storm throws a hook but Nose avoids it easily.
Nice defenses there by Nose.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Nose slips a jab and a cross from Storm.
Storm throws an overhand right that lands on Nose's shoulder, as Nose tries to avoid the shot.
Storm misses with a hook. Nose ducked under it nicely.

Nose throws a quick inside leg kick.
Storm just misses with a punch to the body.
Nose keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Storm misses with a wild combination.
A big left from Storm misses.
Nose slips a straight right by Storm.
Storm bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Nose's head.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Nose shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Storm as he jumps to the side.

Nose is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Storm is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Nose creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Storm sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.

Nose goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Storm has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Nose but great work by Storm.
Nose is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Storm's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.
Nose tries to roll over but Storm keeps him under control.
Nose is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Nose trying to get back to full guard but Storm takes advantage of the position and moves to full mount!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Nose is trying to escape the mount.
Nose has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Ronnie Nose dominated that round.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Storm looks to land a right hand but Nose moved out of range.
Storm has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Storm there as he acknowledges the shot.
Storm keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Storm jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Nose defending well as Storm loads up on a big left hand.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Nose shoots in for a takedown but Storm shows good takedown defense.
Nose uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Storm.

Nose ducks under a wild hook from Storm.
Storm throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Nose decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Storm keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
Nose working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
Nose not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.

Nose wants to work for an arm triangle but Storm is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Nose misses with a head shot. Storm uses the momentum to regain guard.
Nose looking to pass the guard.
Storm has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.

Nose throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Nose throwing strikes from guard but Storm blocks nicely.
Nose in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Storm throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Storm uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Nose.
Storm tries to bum rush Nose with a series of wild strikes but Nose uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Storm throws a jab but it's blocked by Nose.
Storm misses the shot to the body.
Storm misses with a two punch combination.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Storm fails to land with a series of punches.
A jab from Storm does it's job there.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Ronnie Nose showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!


Nose uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Storm.
Storm throws a hook but Nose avoids it easily.
Horrible takedown by Nose or perhaps it was just good defense by Storm which made him look bad.

Storm cracks Nose with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Nose misses with a looping right.

Nose shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Nose was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Storm takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.
Nose misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.

Lightning Storm has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Nose throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Storm because Nose loaded up on that one.

Nose swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Storm is now in Nose's guard. A big mistake from Nose there, giving up the dominant position!
Nose looking to sweep here. No luck so far.

Nose is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Nose takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Nose wants to sweep but no luck.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.

Storm got a little sloppy there for a moment and Nose has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Storm has managed to get both his arms back between Nose's legs - danger averted.
Storm postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

And that's the end of the fight!
Ronnie Nose comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got Nose winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
