Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Antonio Davis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Blah Blah (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Davis's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Deicide - "Scars of the Crucifix" . Blah has chosen Egg as his entrance music. This should be fireworks!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 6 - 0, fighting out of London, Antonio Davis!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, Blah Blah!
The judges for this bout are Chris Edwards, Donald Grub and Paul Tew.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Blah is defended easily by Davis.
Davis defending well as Blah loads up on a big left hand.
Blah throws a jab but it's blocked by Davis.
Blah shoots for a takedown but Davis saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Davis showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Blah.
Blah shoots in for a takedown but Davis shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Antonio Davis has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Blah Blah.
Blah misses the shot to the body.

Blah looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Davis!
Davis is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Blah prevents Davis from getting the reversal.
Davis regains half guard.
Blah is thwarting Davis's attempts to control the position.
Davis is looking to improve his position.

Davis is working hard here to advance position.

Blah is looking for a kimura here.
Blah trying to mount his opponent but Davis defends it.
Davis is controlling Blah's trapped leg to prevent Blah from advancing to side control.
Blah tries to pass the half guard into mount. Davis knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Blah looks for a takedown but Davis sprawls well.
Blah misses with a few strikes there.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Blah misses with a two punch combination.
Blah waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Davis.
Davis bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Blah.
Blah working away.

Blah tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
Davis can't do much from the bottom here.
Blah tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it.
Davis wants to control but Blah postures up.
Blah tries to move to mount but Davis blocks the move with his legs.

Blah tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Blah has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Blah looks gassed!

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Davis gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.
Davis is looking to control Blah's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Davis avoid being mounted?

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Blah shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Davis but Davis pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Blah misses with a series of wild punches.
Davis shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Blah sprawls well. Blah wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Davis gets slowly back to his feet.
Blah doesn't succeed with the takedown

and Davis counters with a nice double leg into half guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Blah gets back to full guard.

Blah is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Davis stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Blah swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Blah has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Davis can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Davis is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.
Davis stands and throws Blah's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Davis lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Blah down.
Davis landing a few strikes.
Blah is trying to improve his position.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
Blah is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Davis off and has taken his back!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Antonio Davis dominated that round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


Blah misses the shot to the body.
Blah stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Blah wants it to stay on the feet.
Blah jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Blah misses with a shot to the body

and Davis decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Blah's guard.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

Blah escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Davis gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Davis has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Davis stands and throws Blah's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Blah tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Davis wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Blah tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Antonio Davis overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Blah is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.

Davis tries to move into full mount but can't pass Blah's legs.
Davis is chipping away with strikes.
Blah gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.
Davis has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.

Blah working to try and regain half guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Blah in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head.
Davis breaks from Blah's wrist control and lands an elbow.
Davis punishing his opponent with strikes.
Davis prevents Blah from getting the reversal.
Davis lands a nice shot to the head.
Davis lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
Davis postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Blah looks a forlorn figure.
Blah sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.
Davis moves nicely into side control.
Blah manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.
Davis wants to pass to mount but Blah is defending the position.
Blah regains full guard. Nicely done.

Blah has his foot on Davis's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Davis works his way back into a safe position though.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Davis stands and throws Blah's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Davis working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.
Blah avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Davis.
Blah manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.

Blah looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.
Davis working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
Blah is pressing down on Davis's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
Davis is pushing down on Blah's leg trying to pass to half guard. Blah is fighting to maintain full guard but Davis has managed to sneak the leg through.

Davis wants to pass to mount but Blah is defending the position.

The fighters are battling for position here. Blah manages to regain full guard. Nice work.

Davis avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Davis is sitting in close to Blah's body. Blah has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Davis is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Davis is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Blah.
