Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Vincent Volkov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Antti Sokka (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Volkov comes to the cage accompanied by The Trooper by Iron Maiden. Sokka is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Black Sun Aeon - Core of Winter. Vincent Volkov could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Antti Sokka's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
7 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Vincent Volkov! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Antti Sokka! The judges for this bout are Donald Grub, Richard Clark and James Ackerman.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sokka will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Volkov throws a big shot that misses. Volkov swinging wilding here.
Volkov throws a solid leg kick but Sokka takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Volkov. Volkov throws a push kick but Sokka slaps the foot to one side. Volkov smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
It looks like Antti Sokka has been cut. Volkov tries to clinch up but Sokka circles away and keeps his distance. Volkov throws a body kick that misses. Volkov misses the jab. Volkov motions for Sokka to come forward. Volkov throws a leg kick but it misses it's target. Volkov closes the distance and clinches. Sokka jumps guard but Volkov stands there with Sokka around his waist. Sokka gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Sokka has clasped his hands together around Volkov's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done. Volkov is trying to improve his position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sokka works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head. Sokka is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Volkov knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Volkov defending against the ground and pound. Sokka wants to control but Volkov is keeping him busy. Sokka throws an elbow but Volkov slips to the side and avoids it well.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Volkov can't do much from the bottom here. Sokka is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Volkov is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Sokka working away.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Sokka shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Sokka was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Sokka has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Sokka thowing strikes but they're hitting the gloves, not doing any damage. Sokka working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Sokka throwing sloppy strikes, which aren't doing any damage. Volkov trying desperately to get to his feet.
Sokka punching from mount but Volkov doing a good job of avoiding damage. Volkov keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Sokka jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Volkov manages to avoid the submission attempt. Sokka looks gassed! Sokka decides to stand up, so the ref orders Volkov to his feet.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Volkov thumps Sokka with a low kick. Volkov moves in looking to clinch but Sokka pushes him off. Volkov scores with a takedown into Sokka's guard. Volkov slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Volkov scoring with punches from side control. Volkov has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Sokka! Volkov breaks from Sokka's wrist control and lands an elbow.
Sokka is rocked! The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Volkov postures up and connects with a big shot that has rocked Sokka badly. He's trying desperately to grab hold of Volkov around the waist but Volkov pushes him off and unloads with more strikes, forcing the referee to jump in and save him! Volkov is the winner by TKO! Volkov jumps onto the cage and shouts into the camera. "We did it momma!"
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Vincent Volkov!
