Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Charlie Day (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Saulnier Raymond (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Charlie Day could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Saulnier Raymond's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Charlie Day! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Saulnier Raymond! The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, James Atkins and Richard Clark.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Raymond swats away the attempt to clinch by Day. Day misses the shot to the body. Day tries to keep at a distance but Raymond has taken the fight into the clinch. Day throws a knee to the head but misses.
Raymond tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Day smiles and moves away.
Day tries to clinch but fails miserably and Raymond counters with a shoot takedown. Day fights it but they end up in guard. Day wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Raymond is looking to advance position but Day has hit a scissor sweep - now he's on top in mount! Day controlling from mount. Raymond really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
Day controlling the pace for now. Raymond is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Raymond looks gassed! Day tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Day has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. Raymond working to try and regain half guard.
Raymond tries to improve his position but instead Day has taken his back! Day scores with punches and elbows. Day controls the action.

The referee stands the fighters back up. Charlie Day just wasn't active enough from the dominant position. Day scores a takedown into full mount! Day controlling the pace for now. The referee warns Raymond that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.

The referee stands the fighters back up. Charlie Day just wasn't active enough from the dominant position. Day takes the fight into the clinch. Raymond wants to get back to striking at distance but Day won't allow it.
Day jumps into guard, dragging Raymond to the mat.
Day wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now. Day looking to hit a scissor sweep but Raymond is one step ahead there. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Day has a closed guard, preventing Raymond from standing up. Day wants to sweep but no luck. Day keeping moving, preventing Raymond from controlling successfully. Raymond drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Raymond jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Day not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Day has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Raymond finds it's way round the side to connect with Day's head. Day forces Raymond back against the cage and clinches. Day wants to stall.
Day can't seem to implement his control oriented gameplan at the moment. That's no bad thing of course, for those of us who want to see a good fight. The referee calls for Day to work.
Raymond jumps guard but Day stands there with Raymond around his waist. Raymond gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Day shoots in and drives through. Raymond sprawls well. Raymond lands with a nice combination. Day backs away looking to recover. Raymond misses with a takedown attempt and Day counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Day. Raymond fails to pull guard.

Charlie Day has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Saulnier Raymond. Day gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Day clinches up with Raymond and pushes him back against the cage. Day will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Raymond up against the cage. Raymond jumps guard but Day stands there with Raymond around his waist. Raymond gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Day stalls. Day seems to have come into the fight with the intention of avoiding any damage in the clinch, rather than actually showing any aggression. The ref breaks the fighters up, due to lack of action by Charlie Day. Day shoots and misses and Raymond moves into the clinch. Raymond doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Day lands a nice knee to the body. Raymond tries for a takedown but Day manages to get underhooks.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Raymond is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully. Raymond working for a triangle but Day defends it easily.
Day seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Raymond is looking for a triangle but Day pushes his legs off easily.

Day controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Day wants to stand but Raymond has a closed guard, so he can't escape. Raymond had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Day is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Raymond Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Day's back instead. Raymond somehow managing to miss with a strike from the back. Day defending nicely against the rear naked choke attempt.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Day tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell! Day wants to hold on but Raymond pushes him away. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Raymond stands up from mount. Strange move. Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Raymond, as that shot connected.
Day is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Raymond looks for a takedown but Day sprawls well. Day pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Day wants to clinch but Raymond slips to the side and Raymond decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Day's guard. Day is pulling down on Raymond's head to control his posture. Raymond looking to pass the guard. Day seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now. Day manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Raymond manages to get himself to full guard.

Day seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Raymond for as long as he can get away with. Now he's in top in Raymond's guard. Day not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Raymond is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Day is trying is best to control the position here. Day is trying to maintain the position but Raymond is very close to passing his half guard. Raymond is nestled in close to Day, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. Day is controlling Raymond's position as best he can from this difficult position. Day gets back to full guard.
