PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Sosa Escobar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Marcello Lujan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Lujan gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Escobar is trying to trip Lujan. He has hold of a leg but Lujan is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Escobar persists though and gets the takedown into guard.

Lujan throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Escobar escapes and throws Lujan's legs to the side, diving into side control!

Lujan jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Escobar walks away with a smile on his face. Lujan gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Lujan has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Escobar is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Lujan.

Well Escobar has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
