Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Chris Point! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, King Fists! The judges for this bout are Donald Grub, James Glass and Andrew Berry.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nice takedown defense from Fists. No joy for Point on that attempt. Point will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. No luck with that takedown attempt from Point. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Chris Point. That's going to take a lot out of him. Point fails to land the takedown. Fists stuffs the takedown. Point fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Fists avoids it really well and circles away. Fists misses with a two punch combination.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Point shoots for a takedown but Fists saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Point gets a takedown into half guard. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Fists kicks Point off and gets back to his feet.
That's one minute gone in the round. Fists avoids a punch combination nicely.
Point throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Fists sees it coming and avoids it easily. Point fails with a takedown attempt. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Point. Point changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Fists tries to avoid it but Point manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Fists to the ground. Fists escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Fists moves out of range as Point strikes. Point fails with a takedown attempt. Point fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Fists avoids it really well and circles away.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Fists throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Point. King Fists is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Fists slips under a jab. Fists leaves Point with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Chris Point seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Fists will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Point closes this distance looking for a takedown but Fists circles away. Point is breathing heavily. Fists throws a series of punches but Point moves out of range. Fists misses with a two punch combination.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Point throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Fists was covering up waiting for the punch and Point finishes the takedown easily into guard. Fists wants to stand up but Point is controlling him. Fists scrambles and gets back to his feet.
Good leg kick by Fists there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Fists slaps away a takedown attempt from Point, before circling back to the center of the mat. Point misses with a wild combination.
Point swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Fists lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Point shoots in for a takedown but Fists shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Fists throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
No luck for Point with that takedown attempt. Fists misses with a few strikes there.
Point falls off balance throwing a combination
and Fists counters with a nice uppercut. Some wild striking there from Fists.

Fists misses with a jab, cross combination.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
King Fists dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Point doesn't succeed with the takedown and Fists counters with a straight right hand. Fists keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Fists dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Fists drops Point with a naaaaasty hook - Point is in real trouble here! Fists dives in to side control and pounds out his opponent for a TKO victory! The crowd goes nuts!
