Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Andrew Spangler (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Andres Katipunan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Spangler comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Spangler looks to land a combination but Katipunan avoids it well.

Spangler shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Katipunan wants to improve his position but Spangler is controlling well.
Spangler working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.

Katipunan manages to escape and get back to his feet!

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Katipunan is in a horrible position here. Spangler smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Spangler cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

Spangler takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.

Katipunan is trying to get to the cage to help him get back to his feet.

Spangler has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
Spangler's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
