Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Andrew Spangler (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Andres Katipunan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Andrew Spangler! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Andres Katipunan! The judges for this bout are , and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Spangler comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. Spangler looks to land a combination but Katipunan avoids it well. Spangler shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. Katipunan wants to improve his position but Spangler is controlling well.
Spangler working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Spangler slows the pace down in half guard. Spangler sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Katipunan defending well though. Katipunan manages to escape and get back to his feet! Katipunan swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
enabling Spangler to counter with a crisp jab. Katipunan looks gassed! Spangler looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Katipunan! This has been an exciting period of action! Spangler landing strikes, looking to finish!
That's one minute gone in the round. Spangler lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
Katipunan throwing punches from his back but nothing is landing. Spangler sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Katipunan is in a horrible position here. Spangler smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Spangler cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Spangler working away from the top, dropping strikes. Spangler in mount throwing good strikes here, bouncing his opponent's head off the canvas.
Katipunan in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head. Spangler landing strikes, looking to finish! Spangler lands a big elbow. Katipunan is wriggling around trying to escape.
Spangler pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage. Spangler takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Spangler landing strikes, looking to finish!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Spangler controlling from mount. A nice elbow there by Spangler. Spangler landing punches. Katipunan is trying to get to the cage to help him get back to his feet.
Spangler controlling the pace for now. Spangler has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. Spangler's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Spangler punishing his opponent with strikes. Spangler landing strikes from the mount and Katipunan is in trouble! Spangler is working close to his opponent, looking to work a submission by the looks of things. Oh, he's managed to get a guillotine from mount as his opponent reached up! That looks tiiiiight! Will he tap? YES, he's tapped! Impressive submission by Spangler!
