Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Nozomu Itoshiki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Teddy Wearsmybelt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Itoshiki comes to the cage accompanied by Ringo Mogire Beam. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Itoshiki defending well as Wearsmybelt loads up on a big left hand.

Wearsmybelt lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Itoshiki circles away quickly and effectively.

Teddy Wearsmybelt seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Itoshiki lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.

Itoshiki shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Wearsmybelt manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Wearsmybelt really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Itoshiki. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Itoshiki stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Wearsmybelt swivels though and keeps the full guard.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Wearsmybelt can do anything to dispel that myth.
Itoshiki is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Itoshiki changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Wearsmybelt looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
The referee asks Itoshiki politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Itoshiki prefers to stall for the moment though.
