Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, George Francis and Cecil Peabody.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silva lands a slapping body shot.
Akram on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
Akram walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Akram shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Silva defends it nicely.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Silva stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Silva wants it to stay on the feet.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Akram doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Silva dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Silva tries to land a leg kick but Akram saw it coming and moves away.

Silva connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
Silva lands with an uppercut that bounces Akram off the cage and back into rage.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Akram dives in and grabs Silva's left leg, looking for a takedown. Silva pushes down on Akram's head and hops out.
Chael Silva has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Abdul Akram.
Silva dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Akram tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Silva lands a jab to Akram's midsection.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Silva stuffs the takedown attempt from Akram. Akram gets slowly back to his feet.
Akram misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!
Akram drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.

Silva fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
Akram darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.

Silva is trying to stand up here but Akram is controlling him well.
Akram keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action.
Silva knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Akram on the ground.
Akram is looking to take a break and control but Silva is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Akram prevents Silva from standing back up.
Akram thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Silva's head.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Chael Silva.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Silva, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
