Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Gregg Pastora! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Deividas Laraznskyi! The judges for this bout are James Glass, James Atkins and Richard Clark.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Laraznskyi closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Pastora to the mat! Pastora manages to get full guard. Pastora looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Laraznskyi passes into half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Laraznskyi wants to take a breather but Pastora is having none of it. Laraznskyi seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. Laraznskyi stalling away here and it's allowed Pastora to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Laraznskyi trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Laraznskyi trying to control but Pastora is working from the bottom. Pastora tries to roll over but Laraznskyi keeps him under control. Laraznskyi is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Pastora has managed to free his arm - good work. Laraznskyi looks gassed! Pastora gets back to full guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Laraznskyi trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Laraznskyi postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Pastora is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Laraznskyi, into his guard. Pastora lands a couple of decent looking shots. Laraznskyi had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Pastora defends it easily. Pastora drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Pastora jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Pastora pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Laraznskyi is keeping the position for now. Pastora is working Laraznskyi over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. Pastora has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Pastora tries for a takedown but Laraznskyi circles away easily and Laraznskyi counters with a single leg into guard. Pastora didn't expect that. Pastora not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Laraznskyi is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Pastora looking to hit a scissor sweep but Laraznskyi is one step ahead there. Laraznskyi postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Pastora is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Laraznskyi, into his guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Pastora working some strikes from top position. Pastora controls from within his opponent's guard. Laraznskyi keeping full guard, as Pastora tries to pass. Pastora works a leg free and moves into half guard. Pastora wants to lay and pray for a moment but Laraznskyi keeps working. Laraznskyi slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Deividas Laraznskyi dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Pastora shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Pastora showed some decent athleticism there. Pastora is looking to take a break and control but Laraznskyi is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Pastora not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Pastora seems to be working for a kimura but Laraznskyi defends the submission attempt. Laraznskyi looking for submissions off his back. Laraznskyi is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Pastora pulls his head out easily. Laraznskyi is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Pastora scores with a couple of nice shots. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Pastora decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet. Laraznskyi with a poor takedown and Pastora counters with a shoot takedown. Laraznskyi fights it but they end up in guard. Pastora is in close to Laraznskyi's body, working some short punches and elbows. Laraznskyi escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Pastora gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Pastora is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Pastora is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Laraznskyi is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Pastora defends well. Pastora drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Pastora jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

This has been an exciting period of action! Laraznskyi working away from the bottom but not quite defensive enough there because Pastora has passed into half guard!
Pastora wants to work for an arm triangle but Laraznskyi is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Pastora will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Pastora is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Laraznskyi defends it well. Laraznskyi is not content to let Pastora control the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Pastora passes the guard and advances to mount! Pastora with good strikes from the mount here! Pastora fails to take his opponent's back. Pastora unloads with some shots from mount but Laraznskyi bucks and avoids them well.
Laraznskyi wants to hold on but Pastora pushes him away. Laraznskyi is working to get back to half guard.
Laraznskyi is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Laraznskyi is trying to escape but when you're mounted that's not too easy.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Laraznskyi is in all sorts of trouble here.

Gregg Pastora dominated that second round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!

That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Laraznskyi is looking for a triangle but Pastora pushes his legs off easily.

Pastora is working for the choke. I would put my money on him to finish from this position. He's rolled onto his back and has dragged Laraznskyi with him. Laraznskyi is trying to defend but Pastora has an arm under the chin now! Laraznskyi grimaces and is forced to tap out!
