Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tomasz Bulat (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and David Vendt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, David Vendt! The judges for this bout are Matti Vanhoillinen, Ben Zyskovitsi and Johanna Lukiainen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Vendt tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Bulat paws at him with a jab and circles away. Bulat shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Vendt avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Vendt looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it. Vendt tries to strike from the bottom.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Vendt with a poor takedown and Bulat counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Bulat. Bulat missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Bulat could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Vendt controls Bulat momentarily but Bulat frees himself. Bulat has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Vendt is proving hard to escape from. Bulat seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Bulat preventing the sweep.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Vendt is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Vendt is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Bulat defends well. Bulat trying to control but Vendt is working from the bottom.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Vendt is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control. Vendt has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Bulat off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds. Vendt defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Bulat. Bulat gets the takedown into side control. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Bulat working away. Bulat is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Vendt is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Bulat is breathing heavily. Bulat gets to mount! Vendt was on the offensive and wasn't defending properly.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Bulat avoids the attempt from Vendt to control. Vendt is squirming around, avoiding Bulat's attempts to control the action. Bulat content just to control the position here. Vendt is looking to improve his position but Bulat isn't that keen on the idea. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Bulat misses with a takedown and Vendt decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Bulat's guard. Bulat is trying to keep Vendt in close.
Vendt tries to free his leg and advance position but Bulat is retaining full guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Bulat throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land. Bulat keeping full guard, as Vendt tries to pass. Bulat is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Vendt stands up from guard. Let's bang! Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Vendt throws a sloppy head kick and Bulat counters with a shoot takedown. Vendt fights it but they end up in guard. Vendt is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Vendt wants to control but Bulat is keeping him busy. Bulat wants to improve his position but Vendt is controlling well.
Vendt gets to his feet - back to striking we go! Vendt with a poor takedown and Bulat counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Vendt's guard now. Tomasz Bulat overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Bulat with a flurry of punches that miss. Bulat trying to control but Vendt is working from the bottom.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Bulat wants to get up but he can't break Vendt's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. Vendt is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Bulat trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Vendt manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Bulat is in a horrible position here. Vendt smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Bulat wants to improve position but instead he's given up his back. Bulat defending nicely against the rear naked choke attempt.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Bulat defends a rear naked choke attempt by controlling one of Vendt's arms. Vendt avoiding Bulat 's attempts to control his hands. Bulat grimaces as he takes a shot to the body. Vendt working for a choke but Bulat is defending well. Bulat turns into Vendt and is now in his guard.

David Vendt showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Vendt tries for a takedown but Bulat circles away easily and Bulat counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Bulat. Bulat throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Vendt works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Vendt has an active guard here but Bulat has managed to pass into half guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Vendt pushes Bulat away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Bulat gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control. Vendt is trying to control Bulat's posture but Bulat avoids it.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Bulat gets a takedown into half guard. Vendt is trying to control but can't.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Bulat works his way into side control. Vendt manages to get back to half guard. Vendt is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Bulat's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Bulat's back! Bulat trying to control but not successfully. Bulat prevents Vendt from getting a body triangle. Vendt is controlling his opponent, waiting for an opportunity to finish. Vendt scores with a nice shot to the head of his opponent. Bulat is looking for a way out.
And that's the end of the fight! Tomasz Bulat showed his dominance in that final round. I think Bulat has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
