Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Don Chakka (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Edmund Kaufmann (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Don Chakka has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Don Chakka! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Edmund Kaufmann! The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Steve Smith and William Peck.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kaufmann throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Chakka was covering up waiting for the punch and Kaufmann finishes the takedown easily into guard. Kaufmann wants to pass the guard but Chakka is keeping the position. Chakka wants to sweep but no luck. Kaufmann thows a big elbow that misses. Kaufmann throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Chakka works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Kaufmann drops back looking for a leg! Chakka is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Chakka manages to kick Kaufmann off! Kaufmann jumps back into Chakka's guard. Chakka is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Kaufmann is controlling him. Kaufmann stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Chakka swivels though and keeps the full guard. Chakka wants to sweep here but Kaufmann controlling him for the moment.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Chakka connects with a solid leg kick.
That's one minute gone in the round. Chakka shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Kaufmann is trying to defend but Chakka finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. Kaufmann punching from the bottom.
Chakka has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Chakka prevents Kaufmann from getting the reversal. Kaufmann wants to hold on but Chakka pushes him away. Kaufmann is in all sorts of trouble here.
Kaufmann sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though. Kaufmann is looking for a sweep. The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Chakka wants to clinch up but Kaufmann keeps it at a distance. Kaufmann feints and as Chakka raises his hands in defense, Kaufmann changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Kaufmann throwing strikes from guard but Chakka blocks nicely. Kaufmann throws a big right hand that misses. Kaufmann working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Chakka's head. A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Chakka holds on and takes a little breather. Kaufmann thows a big elbow that misses. Chakka fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Kaufmann avoids it really well and circles away. Kaufmann changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Chakka looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Chakka is trying to improve his position. Chakka sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard. Chakka wants to control but Kaufmann is keeping busy.

Kaufmann is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Chakka has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Kaufmann is working away from the top position though.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Kaufmann is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Chakka is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Chakka sneaks back into half guard. Kaufmann misses with a head shot. Chakka uses the momentum to regain guard. Chakka tries to land a sweep but no joy. Don Chakka has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Edmund Kaufmann is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Chakka tries to strike from the bottom.

And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Don Chakka. I think Kaufmann has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
