Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Radbod Blank, Daniel Blasius and Paul Aken.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Chuva scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.
Chuva stuns Darko with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
A shot to de liver by Chuva. Beautiful body shot.
Darko shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Chuva's guard.
Chuva working away from the bottom but not quite defensive enough there because Darko has passed into half guard!
Darko seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Chuva does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Chuva moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Chuva throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Darko content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.
Darko loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.

Darko not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Chuva is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Darko working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Chuva utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Chuva looking to hit a scissor sweep but Darko is one step ahead there.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Darko postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
Darko throws a strike but Chuva rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
Chuva being controlled here momentarily.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Darko striking off his back but it's not causing Chuva any problems.
Chuva is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.
Darko keeping moving, preventing Chuva from controlling successfully.

Darko has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Chuva trying to control the position from guard on top but Darko is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Chuva trying to stand up but can't free himself from Darko's guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Marcelo Chuva dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Chuva ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Darko moves away.
Darko blocks a jab.
Chuva connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Chuva looks to land a left hand but Darko moved out of range nicely.
Darko looks for a takedown but Chuva sprawls well.
Marcelo Chuva is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Darko tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Chuva works over Darko's head and body with a nice combination.
Chuva moves out of range of the strikes.
Chuva just misses with a punch to the body.
Darko drives through with a takedown into guard.
Chuva looking for a triangle here. Darko is fighting it but it looks tight! Chuva pulls the arm across and this one won't last much longer! Nope, Darko is tapping out - this one is all over!
