Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jan Janssen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Russ Vanpelten (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Janssen comes into the arena with Orgineel Amsterdam blaring out of the sound system. Vanpelten has chosen For whom the bell tolls as his entrance music. This should be fireworks!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Russ Vanpelten!
The judges for this bout are Albert Achterberg, Paulsen Ambrosius and Paul Aken.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Janssen throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Vanpelten's waist but Vanpelten gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Janssen off to one side.
Janssen will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Vanpelten gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Janssen scoring with punches to the head and body.
Janssen postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Vanpelten is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Janssen, into his guard.
Vanpelten with a flurry of punches that miss.
Janssen is looking to sinch up a triangle. Vanpelten throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Janssen's body to avoid the submission. Janssen has instead reached around Vanpelten's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Janssen arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:47 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Guillotine). Jan Janssen!
