The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Gwen Towbar and Frank Dennis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bater cracks Smith with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Bater has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Smith to stand back up!
It looks like John Smith has been cut.
Smith swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Smith takes a shot right to the bread basket.
A big left from Bater misses.
Smith loads up on a big right hand but Bater slips the punch.
Bater throws the left hand but Smith avoids the punch easily.
Bater sends Smith crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Bater is motioning to the referee to let Smith up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!
Smith is rocked!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Smith throws a jab but it's blocked by Bater.
Smith is still on wobbly legs! Can Bater finish him?

Smith seems to have recovered his senses.

John Smith seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Smith uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Bater.
Bater on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Bater sends Smith crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Bater is motioning to the referee to let Smith up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!
Bater uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Smith.
Smith misses with a wild body shot.

Bater avoids a lazy jab quite easily.

Smith fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Bater sends Smith crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Bater is motioning to the referee to let Smith up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!
That has opened up John Smith's cut even more.

Smith throws out a loose jab but Bater uses good head movement to avoid it.
Smith scores with a crisp jab that stopped Bater in his tracks.
Bater cracks Smith on the jaw with a powerful right hand and Smith falls backwards against the cage. Bater follows up with more strikes that drop Smith to his knees. Bater keeps the pressure on and the referee jumps in to save Smith! This one is all over!
