Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Ryan Wells (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Diego Bakulaw (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 5 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ryan Wells!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Diego Bakulaw!
The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Wesley Smith and Alan Glass.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bakulaw moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Bakulaw lands with a slapping head kick.

Wells closes the distance and clinches.
Bakulaw tries to break free but Wells pushes him back against the cage.

Wells tightens his grip and picks Bakulaw up, before dumping him to the ground. Bakulaw manages to land in guard.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Wells throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Bakulaw's waist but Bakulaw gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Wells off to one side.
Wells fails miserably with a takedown attempt.

Wells pushes Bakulaw up against the cage in a clinch.
Bakulaw is trying to break the clinch but Wells has him pressed against the cage.
Wells is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.

Wells is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Bakulaw can't fight it off and eventually Wells manages to take the fight to the floor. Bakulaw looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Bakulaw really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Wells. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Wells with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Wells tries to score a power double leg takedown but Bakulaw sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Wells somewhat.

Wells fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Bakulaw avoids it really well and circles away.

Bakulaw dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Wells. That did some damage!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Diego Bakulaw will probably get the nod.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Wells looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Bakulaw does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Wells stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Bakulaw.
Good leg kick by Bakulaw there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.

Bakulaw throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
No luck for Wells with that takedown attempt.

Wells shoots for a double leg takedown but Bakulaw sprawls well. He's pushed Wells's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Wells dives in and grabs Bakulaw's left leg, looking for a takedown. Bakulaw pushes down on Wells's head and hops out.

Wells shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
Wells wants to control the pace but Bakulaw is squirming around nicely.
Poor strikes thrown by Wells there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Wells is landing with some decent strikes but Bakulaw is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
Wells throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.

Diego Bakulaw showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!

Ryan Wells has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Ryan Wells showed his dominance in that final round.
I think Bakulaw has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
