Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Dusty Johnston (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Grand Flash (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of

2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Grand Flash! The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Tiny Johnson and Wesley Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Flash gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Johnston to score an easy takedown into full guard. Flash has his foot on Johnston's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Johnston works his way back into a safe position though. Johnston seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Flash for as long as he can get away with.

Flash throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land. Johnston won't allow Flash to sweep him here.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Flash fails with the takedown and Johnston counters with a stiff right hand. Johnston looks for the body kick but Flash saw that one coming. Johnston shoots and misses and Flash counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Johnston! The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Johnston is working to get back to half guard.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Johnston throws a wild body kick that Flash sees coming a mile off. Flash tries to keep at a distance but Johnston has taken the fight into the clinch. Johnston breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Johnston with a lazy takedown attempt and Flash counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Johnston is in trouble now - Flash has advanced to mount! Flash is working for a guillotine from mount but Johnston frees his head quite easily.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Flash thowing strikes but they're hitting the gloves, not doing any damage. Johnston is desperately trying to get back to half guard.

Grand Flash dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

That's one minute gone in the round. Johnston is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. Flash is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Johnston's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Johnston's back! Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Johnston fending off the submission attempt from Flash. Johnston is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Flash gets his way!

Johnston remaining controlled and patient though - he really has to keep calm otherwise Flash will wrap this one up with the rear naked choke! Flash working for a RNC but it's not happening just yet. Johnston trying to control the hands but Flash won't let him. Flash is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but Johnston has hold of the other arm. Johnston slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Flash is trying to control the position but Johnston postures up. Flash is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Flash keeping moving, preventing Johnston from controlling successfully. Flash escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Johnston gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Johnston controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Johnston thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Flash looking to control.
Johnston wants to control from the top but Flash keeps moving. Flash is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Johnston is aware though and is defending well. Flash is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Flash working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Johnston doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Johnston manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Grand Flash showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!
Johnston wants to clinch. Johnston has his takedown stuffed and Flash counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Johnston's guard now. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Flash throwing strikes from guard but Johnston blocks nicely. Flash stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Johnston swivels though and keeps the full guard. Johnston preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Flash throwing strikes but missing. Flash in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Both fighters are breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Johnston bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Flash's guard. Flash is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Flash had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Johnston defends it easily. Flash throws his legs up looking for a submission but Johnston uses it to pass to side control.
Johnston has control of an arm but Flash manages to advance to Johnston's back! Flash has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Johnston is trying to get back to his feet but Flash has full control of the position and if anything, Johnston has just worked his way into a worse spot. Flash is persistently looking for the submission but Johnston is defending it well.

Flash is pressing down on Johnston's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. Johnston has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Flash to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Johnston is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Flash pulls down on the head and he's put Johnston to sleep! This one is all over!
