Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Chucky Reyes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kian Kushiel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Reyes comes to the cage accompanied by Nine Inch Nails - Deep. Kushiel has chosen Welsh National Anthem as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

7 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Chucky Reyes! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Kian Kushiel! The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Reyes is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Kushiel's half guard. Kushiel is defending against the submission attempts here by Reyes.
Reyes is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Kushiel doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Reyes. Kushiel is defending against the submission attempts here by Reyes.
Reyes is looking for a kimura here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kushiel throws a strike from the bottom that misses.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Reyes is working for a kimura but Kushiel is defending it quite comfortably.
Kushiel has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Reyes is working away from the top position though. Reyes is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Kushiel sees it coming and defends easily. Kushiel is defending against the submission attempts here by Reyes.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Reyes is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Kushiel defends it well.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Reyes fails with the takedown. Reyes shoots in but no luck this time. Kushiel looks to score with a jab to the body but Reyes is just out of range. Reyes keeps the fight on the outside. Kushiel tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Kushiel misses with a takedown attempt and Reyes counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Kushiel tries to land a sweep but no joy.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Reyes pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Kushiel is keeping the position for now. Reyes postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Kushiel is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Reyes, into his guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Reyes is breathing heavily. Kushiel with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. Reyes is looking for a triangle but Kushiel pushes his legs off easily.
Kushiel controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Kushiel slips nicely into half guard. Kushiel is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Reyes! Reyes sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though. Kushiel is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Reyes tries to regain full guard. Instead though, Kushiel has advanced to mount. Uh oh. The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Kushiel cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Reyes is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Reyes regains half guard. Kushiel looks to score some points with some ground and pound. Kushiel trying to control from half guard but Reyes is working away. Reyes actively working from the bottom here. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Chucky Reyes dominated that round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Kushiel closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Reyes did well to prevent Kushiel getting side control. Well, if Kushiel is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Reyes is refusing to be controlled, as Kushiel sits in half guard. Reyes tries to get to full guard but Kushiel has control of the leg. Reyes looking for subs from the bottom but Kushiel mounts him! Chucky Reyes overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Reyes regains half guard. Kushiel is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.

That's one minute gone in the round. Reyes has his foot on Kushiel's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Kushiel works his way back into a safe position though. Reyes has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Kushiel can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Kushiel is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. Reyes keeping moving, preventing Kushiel from controlling successfully. Kushiel is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Reyes keeping moving, preventing Kushiel from controlling successfully. Reyes has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Kushiel can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Reyes is looking for a triangle here but Kushiel uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.
Reyes gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard. Kushiel is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Reyes defends it well. Kushiel scores with a couple of good hammerfists. Reyes manages to get to full guard.

Kushiel wants to lay and pray for a moment but Reyes keeps working. Reyes is looking for a sweep. Kushiel is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Reyes looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Kushiel throwing shots but Reyes is blocking nicely. Reyes looking for submissions off his back.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Kushiel drops an elbow to the side of Reyes's head. Kushiel seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Reyes does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Kushiel moves into the clinch successfully.
Kushiel tries to pull guard but Reyes holds him up against the cage and eventually Kushiel drops back down to his feet.
Kushiel ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Kushiel no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard. Reyes drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Kushiel dives on top into guard. Reyes escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Kushiel gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Kushiel lands a couple of digs. Reyes is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

Kian Kushiel showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. And we move into the final round!
Reyes gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Kushiel holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Reyes is pressed up against the cage. Kushiel has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Reyes down to the mat. Reyes avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. Reyes circles away from the clinch attempt and Reyes counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Reyes is working for a kimura from half guard. He's really concentrating on the hold and it's allowed Kushiel to slip a leg under and get back to full guard. Kushiel manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Reyes manages to get himself to full guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Kushiel tries for a kimura but Reyes is defending well. Reyes tries to buck Kushiel off but Kushiel is having none of it. Reyes on the wrong end of some ground and pound. Kushiel working the ground and pound from side control. Reyes tries to improve position but can't. Kushiel trying to control the position but Reyes is working away. Reyes tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Kushiel wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Kushiel wants to control but Reyes is keeping him busy. Reyes tries to bench press Kushiel off him but Kushiel keeps the position.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Reyes gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Kushiel counters by moving into the clinch.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kushiel pulls guard effortlessly. Reyes might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Reyes has gone for a leg lock! Kushiel slips out almost immediately though and dives into Reyes's guard. Reyes working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Kushiel doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Kushiel manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Kushiel wants to control from the top but Reyes keeps moving. Kushiel lands a couple of elbows. Kushiel chips away with some ground and pound. Kushiel wanted to stand there but Reyes had control of the position. Reyes keeping moving, preventing Kushiel from controlling successfully. Kushiel is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Reyes is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Reyes throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Kushiel escapes and throws Reyes's legs to the side, diving into side control! Reyes looking for a sweep but Kushiel has passed into full mount! Oh no! Kushiel can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Reyes is looking to escape. Reyes is in all sorts of trouble here.
Kushiel lands a big elbow. Reyes is trying to escape the mount.
Kushiel postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Reyes looks a forlorn figure.
And that's the end of the fight! Kian Kushiel comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Kushiel has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
