Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Thor Odinsson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Saikologically Challenged! The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Jack Bonds and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Challenged looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Challenged takes a swing at Odinsson's ribcage but misses. Challenged avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Odinsson shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Challenged sprawls well. Challenged wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Odinsson gets slowly back to his feet. Odinsson thows a left - swing and a miss! Odinsson shoots in and bounces Challenged off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Odinsson is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Odinsson passes easily into side control. Nice work. Challenged keeps Odinsson under control for a moment. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Challenged can do anything to dispel that myth. Odinsson wants to control but Challenged is keeping him busy.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Challenged prevents Odinsson from improving position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Odinsson is working hard here to advance position. Challenged is not content to let Odinsson control the position. Odinsson tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Challenged parries the strikes from Odinsson easily there. Odinsson is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Challenged to escape.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Odinsson is looking to take a break and control but Challenged is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Odinsson tries to move into full mount but can't pass Challenged's legs.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Horrible takedown by Odinsson or perhaps it was just good defense by Challenged which made him look bad.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Challenged throws an overhand right that lands on Odinsson's shoulder, as Odinsson tries to avoid the shot. Challenged looks to throw the jab but Odinsson is out of range. Odinsson fails with a takedown attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Thor Odinsson. That's going to take a lot out of him. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Challenged throws a looping overhand right but Odinsson ducks down to avoid it. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Thor Odinsson will probably get the nod. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Challenged moves into range and lands a nice leg kick. Odinsson looks for a takedown but Challenged sprawls well. Challenged tries to clinch but Odinsson moves out of range. Challenged displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Odinsson. Odinsson on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Odinsson shoots for a double leg takedown but Challenged sprawls well. He's pushed Odinsson's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Thor Odinsson. That's going to take a lot out of him. A slow jab from Challenged misses its intended target. Challenged lands a jab to Odinsson's midsection. Odinsson tries to score a power double leg takedown but Challenged sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Odinsson somewhat. A solid leg kick lands there for Challenged.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Challenged wants to clinch but Odinsson slips to the side and Challenged takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Odinsson will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Saikologically Challenged is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Challenged throws a hook to the side of Odinsson's head but Odinsson sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Challenged stuffs the takedown.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Challenged lands a jab to Odinsson's midsection. Challenged tries to close the distance and clinch up but Odinsson swats him away and circles back towards the center. Odinsson needs to keep his hands up - Challenged had a free shot at his head there.
It looks like Thor Odinsson has been cut. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Challenged fails in his attempt to clinch. Challenged defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Odinsson. Thor Odinsson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. A swing and a miss from Challenged.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Challenged throws a hook but Odinsson avoids it easily. Odinsson shoots in for a takedown but Challenged shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Challenged takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away. Challenged lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Challenged misses with a straight left. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Odinsson drives through with a takedown into guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Saikologically Challenged showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The cut man is working on Thor Odinsson's cut. That's time! Back to the action! This is the final round!
Odinsson shoots in looking for a takedown. Challenged tries to sprawl out of it but Odinsson keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Challenged manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Odinsson tries to clinch but Challenged moves out of range. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Odinsson fails with the takedown. Challenged lands an overhand right.
That's one minute gone in the round. Odinsson fails to land the takedown. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Thor Odinsson. That's going to take a lot out of him. Odinsson tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world. Challenged fails in his attempt to clinch. Odinsson moves in looking to clinch but Challenged pushes him off.

Odinsson misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Odinsson slips under a jab. Nice sprawl there from Challenged as Odinsson shoots in. Challenged lands with a nice body punch. Challenged wants to clinch but Odinsson slips to the side and Odinsson counters with a lovely straight right hand!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Odinsson steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Challenged. Odinsson doesn't manage to clinch there - Challenged circles away.
Odinsson connects with a right hand. Challenged shakes it off. Challenged lands with an uppercut that bounces Odinsson off the cage and back into rage. Challenged slips under a jab from Odinsson. The fighters circling - Odinsson throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Odinsson shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Challenged sprawls well. Challenged wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Odinsson gets slowly back to his feet. Challenged displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Odinsson throws out the jab. Challenged ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Challenged stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Challenged wants it to stay on the feet.
And that's the end of the fight! Saikologically Challenged comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Challenged has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
