Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Marcus Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Steve Kouser (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jones comes to the ring accompanied by Collie Buddz - Come Around. Marcus Jones has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
7 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Marcus Jones! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Steve Kouser! The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Alan Glass and Cecil Peabody.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jones on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere. Jones lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Kouser circles away quickly and effectively. Kouser fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Jones gets the takedown into side control. The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves. Jones working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Jones tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Jones has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Kouser is pushing Jones's head away, looking to escape. Jones manages to hold on to the position though. Kouser tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Jones wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Kouser struggling a bit here. Jones tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jones working away. Kouser is not content to let Jones control the position. Kouser is looking to regain half guard here but Jones keeps moving and retains side control.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Kouser throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Jones. Kouser misses with a body shot.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Kouser lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Jones circles away quickly and effectively. Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world. Jones swings away with a body shot that misses
letting Kouser counter with a right hand. Kouser throws a series of punches but Jones avoids them all with ease. Kouser gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Jones to score an easy takedown into full guard. Kouser trying to keep a closed guard but Jones is proving a slippery customer.

Marcus Jones dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Kouser looks to score with a jab to the body but Jones is just out of range. A big right from Jones misses. Kouser scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. Kouser throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Nice straight punches there by Kouser. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Kouser. Kouser throws a body punch but Jones moves out of range. Kouser will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jones on the wrong end of a nice hook. Kouser throws a series of punches but Jones moves out of range. Jones doesn't succeed with the takedown and Kouser counters with a nice uppercut. Kouser thows a body shot but no joy. Jones takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Kouser throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Jones connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Steve Kouser is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Jones is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Kouser. Kouser cracks Jones with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business. Kouser missing with a left hand there. Jones was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Kouser digs a good body shot into Jones's ribs. Jones throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd. Kouser avoids the head kick by Jones.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Steve Kouser showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

Jones throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Kouser slips under a jab. Jones fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done. Marcus Jones is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Kouser swinging wildly here.

Kouser comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. Kouser throws a right and a left that Jones avoids nicely. Kouser throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Jones stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Kouser dips to his left and cracks Jones with an uppercut! Kouser lands a really nice looking cross but Jones seems unphased.
Jones on the wrong end of a nice jab. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Steve Kouser really dominated that round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Jones misses with a takedown and Kouser counters with a right hand to the body. Jones shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Kouser manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. Jones wants to control from the top but Kouser keeps moving. Kouser working a defensive guard here.
Kouser is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully. Jones has gone for a leg lock! Kouser slips out almost immediately though and dives into Jones's guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jones looking for a guillotine here but Kouser defends easily.
Kouser stands up over Jones, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. Jones is trying to keep Kouser in close.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Kouser got a little sloppy there for a moment and Jones has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Kouser has managed to get both his arms back between Jones's legs - danger averted. Kouser makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. Kouser trying to control but Jones is working from the bottom. Jones is trying to keep Kouser in close.

It's got to the stage where if one of these guys blows hard enough, the other might fall over. Jones can't keep his opponent in guard - Kouser advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. Kouser seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close fourth round but I would say that Marcus Jones will probably get the nod. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!

Kouser takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard. Jones is fighting to break Kouser's control of his arms but Kouser is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment. Jones drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Kouser manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Jones has Kouser in his guard. Kouser controls from within his opponent's guard. Kouser postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.

And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Marcus Jones. I think Jones has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
