Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Mart Mono (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bukaw Pomruk (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mono comes to the cage accompanied by Roots rock Reggae. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Mart Mono! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Bukaw Pomruk! The judges for this bout are Hirohito Nitta, Sosuke Kotani and Taro Takaoka.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Pomruk shoots in for a double leg but Mono sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Jeez, both these guys look absolutely knackered already, that's not a good sign! Mono keeps the fight on the outside. Mono swats away the attempt to clinch by Pomruk. Mono clinches but Pomruk breaks the clinch and Pomruk counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Mono! Mono bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done! Mono is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Pomruk is trying to keep Mono in close.
Mono thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Mono drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Mono jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Pomruk looking to hit a scissor sweep but Mono is one step ahead there. Pomruk is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Mono stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Pomruk swivels though and keeps the full guard. Mono slips nicely into half guard. Mono is looking for a kimura but Pomruk is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Mono to get the leverage. Pomruk really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Mono. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Pomruk is trying to get back to full guard. Mono is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
