Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Pein Nagato (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Maximilian Percello (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Nagato might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Turn My Swag On. Nagato is coming into this fight with a significant injury, which will no doubt have an effect on his cardio. Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

Percello shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Nagato is trying to defend but Percello finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Percello uses his free foot to push down on Nagato's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Nagato.

Percello is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Nagato can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

Percello is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Nagato is surviving well by controlling Percello's body position as best he can.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Nagato tries to improve his position but instead Percello has taken his back!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Percello really has the hooks in deep now - there seems like no escape for Nagato.
Nagato defends a rear naked choke attempt by controlling one of Percello's arms.
You know, I was talking to some of our celebrities at ringside tonight and they were split right down the middle on who was going to win this fight.

Percello has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Nagato has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!
Percello looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Percello connects with a nice short shot to Nagato's temple.
Percello postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Nagato to stand up.

Percello has his foot on Nagato's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Nagato works his way back into a safe position though.

Let's hope that Percello has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
Percello working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Nagato doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Nagato manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Nagato drops back looking for a leg! Percello is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Percello manages to kick Nagato off! Nagato jumps back into Percello's guard.
Nagato won't allow Percello to get back to his feet.
Percello is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Nagato is aware though and is defending well.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Percello rushes Nagato and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Percello has clasped his hands together around Nagato's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done.

Maximilian Percello is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

so Percello counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.

Well Percello has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
