The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Komokallio is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
Komokallio throws a right and a left that Cody avoids nicely.
Komokallio takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.

It looks like Johannes Komokallio has been cut.

Komokallio looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Komokallio is trying to control the action in half guard but Cody is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Komokallio moves into full mount! Cody won't be happy about that!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Komokallio stands up from mount. Strange move.
Bruce Cody seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Cody closes the distance and clinches.
Komokallio drops down looking for an ankle pick but Cody pulls his leg out and moves away.
Komokallio takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Komokallio stalks Cody and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Cody's face. Cody staggers backwards, shaken.
Cody keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Cody fails in his attempt to clinch.
Komokallio walks into a jab.

Johannes Komokallio's cut is getting worse.
The fighters circle momentarily. Komokallio darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Cody jabs at Komokallio's body.
Komokallio is breathing heavily.
Cody lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.

Cody lands a big head kick that sends Komokallio tumbling to the mat! Cody takes a step backwards and waves Komokallio back to his feet - he wants the finish!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Cody throws a head kick that misses.
Cody throws a hook but Komokallio blocks it.
Cody thuds a left hand into Komokallio's body.
Cody looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
A solid leg kick lands there for Cody.

Jeez, Johannes Komokallio's cut is really nasty now. The referee must be thinking about getting that checked.
