The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fairtex fails with an attempt to clinch.

Fairtex can't keep his opponent in guard - Wogg advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.

Fairtex really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Wogg. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Wogg is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Fairtex has managed to escape the submission attempt.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Wogg has control of Fairtex's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Fairtex regains control of the situation pretty easily.

Wogg swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Fairtex is now in Wogg's guard. A big mistake from Wogg there, giving up the dominant position!

Fairtex wants to get up but he can't break Wogg's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

and Wogg counters with a nice low kick that buckles Fairtex's knee momentarily.

Fairtex has given up his back - I don’t know if this is a deliberate ploy to try and escape or if he is just struggling down there.
Fairtex avoids the strikes from Wogg.
Wogg has the hooks in. Fairtex is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Wogg is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Fairtex knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Fairtex for a finish.

Wogg is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Fairtex is defending well for now.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

The referee is keeping an eye on Wogg - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.

Wogg jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Fairtex walks away with a smile on his face. Wogg gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

and Wogg counters with a body kick that brings a smile to the face of both fighters.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Wogg lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Fairtex has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Fairtex and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

Fairtex slaps away a takedown attempt from Wogg, before circling back to the center of the mat.

Well Wogg has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
