Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Joysula Ashton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Cole Trickle (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Joysula Ashton! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Cole Trickle! The judges for this bout are , Jack Bonds and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Trickle shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Ashton but Ashton pushes him off and we're back to square one. Trickle shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Ashton as he avoids it easily. Trickle shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Ashton as he avoids it easily. Joysula Ashton has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Cole Trickle. Ashton fakes a head shot and lands one to the body. Trickle looks gassed! Trickle closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Ashton is trying is best to control the position here. Ashton wants to control but Trickle is keeping busy.
Ashton is looking to improve his position.
Ashton tries to kick Trickle off but Trickle keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. Ashton is trying to get back to full guard. Ashton has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Trickle is working away from the top position though. Trickle seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Ashton does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ashton wants to get back to his feet.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Ashton throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Ashton uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Trickle has time to react. Ashton works Trickle's body with a nice hook. Ashton swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Ashton connects with a right hand. Trickle shakes it off.
It looks like Cole Trickle has been cut. Ashton throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Trickle tries to move into range but Ashton moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand. Ashton stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Ashton wants it to stay on the feet. Nice uppercut there from Ashton. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Ashton drops Trickle with a big left hand! Trickle is injured, injured bad! Ashton jumps in and finished him with strikes! The fight is over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:49 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Joysula Ashton!
