Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between nathan dowie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Graham Galto (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). nathan dowie has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, nathan dowie!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Graham Galto!
The judges for this bout are Richard Clark, Sam Margolis and James Atkins.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Galto misses with a wild combination.
Galto gets the takedown into side control.
Galto misses with an attempted head punch from side control.
dowie is trying to get back to half guard.
dowie trying to control but Galto flips him over like a cheap hooker and has his back!
Galto wants to control but dowie is keeping busy.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Galto working for a choke but dowie is defending well.
dowie turns into Galto and is now in his guard.
dowie working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
dowie might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Galto controls dowie momentarily but dowie frees himself.
dowie is looking to work some ground and pound but Galto has wrist control.

dowie trying to control but Galto is working from the bottom.
dowie throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Galto works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Galto shoots in looking for a takedown. dowie tries to sprawl out of it but Galto keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. dowie manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Galto ducks down and throws a hook to the body but dowie moves away.

and Galto counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.
dowie closes the distance and lands a one-two.
dowie tries to land a body kick
and Galto counters with a nice double leg into side control. dowie won't be happy with that.
dowie is breathing heavily.

dowie is looking to reverse the position.
dowie has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

The ground and pound from Galto seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent.
dowie tries to buck Galto off but Galto is having none of it.
Galto looks up at the clock and then as dowie takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Galto smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!

dowie takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Galto tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

dowie is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Galto looks to score some points with some ground and pound.
dowie on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.
Galto is working for a submission of some sort.
Galto is stalling here. dowie is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Galto seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and dowie has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Galto wants to control but dowie postures up.
Galto looks to move to half guard but instead dowie has passed into mount! Damn!
dowie jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Galto manages to avoid the submission attempt.
dowie lands a nice forearm strike.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Graham Galto dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Galto closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Galto lands in his opponent's guard.
dowie is looking to stand up but Galto isn't so interested in that idea.
Galto lands a couple of decent looking shots.
Galto stands up from dowie's guard - Galto perhaps looking for a knockout.
Galto shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches dowie napping and manages to drive through into side control!

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Galto tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Galto has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Galto postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.

dowie manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.
dowie is looking to improve his position.
Galto escapes and gets back to his feet.
dowie darts in trying to clinch
and Galto counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for dowie!
dowie is desperately trying to improve his position but Galto has a good base and remains in mount.
The referee warns dowie that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.

dowie is looking to get to half guard.
Galto looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.

The fighters are battling for position here. dowie manages to regain full guard. Nice work.

dowie has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Graham Galto showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!

and Galto holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Galto lands with a right to the head.
dowie tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Galto smiles and moves away.
Galto looks to score with a jab to the body but dowie is just out of range.

and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
dowie has a takedown stuffed.

dowie looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Galto is fending him off so far but dowie persists. Nope, Galto circles away and we're back to standing.

Galto is pressed up against the cage. dowie has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Galto down to the mat. Galto avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
dowie walks into a straight right hand from Galto.
Galto scores with a hook.
Galto closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Galto cracks dowie with a big right hand but dowie just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
Galto is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but dowie is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Graham Galto has got the better of the ground game so far.
Galto lands an elbow.
Galto in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows.

Galto prevents dowie from escaping the position.
Galto tries to advance to mount but can't.
dowie takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.
Galto throwing ground and pound but whilst doing so, he forgets to control position and dowie works his way back to half guard. Good composure under pressure.
dowie flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.
Galto maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! dowie could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but Galto has cracked it and dowie is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by Galto!
