PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jose Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bihg Duhm Fock (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Jose Silva!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Bihg Duhm Fock!
The judges for this bout are Mauricio Rocha, Thiago Cunha and Daniel Cesar.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silva misses the shot to the body.
Silva swings for the body but Fock moves out of range.

Silva shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Fock's guard.
Silva stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Fock swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Silva trying to control the position from guard on top but Fock is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Silva throwing strikes from guard but Fock blocks nicely.
Silva looking to sit in guard and control but Fock gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Silva is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Fock is aware though and is defending well.
Silva is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Fock passes Silva's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Silva tries to roll over but Fock keeps him under control.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Fock wants to pass to mount but Silva is defending the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Fock looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Fock tries to pass to full mount but Silva defends it.
Silva tries to regain full guard. Instead though, Fock has advanced to mount. Uh oh.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Fock tries to control but Silva wriggling away.
Silva can't escape the position.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Silva wants to control but Fock is having none of it.
Silva holds on for dear life, controlling Fock's posture momentarily.
Fock controlling from the full mount.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Fock is trying to take his opponent's back.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Jose Silva will probably get the nod.
That's time! Back to the action!



The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Fock gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Silva to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Fock is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Silva wants to stand but Fock has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
Fock is trying to control the position but Silva postures up.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Silva is looking to advance position but Fock has hit a scissor sweep - now he's on top in mount!
Silva regains half guard.
Silva is trying to maintain the position but Fock is very close to passing his half guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Fock wants to take a breather but Silva is having none of it.
Silva is trying to control but Fock passes into side control!
Silva is looking to reverse the position.
Silva seems a little lost for a moment, as Fock dominates the positioning.
Silva wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done!
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
You can see the frustration on Silva's face as Fock controls the position.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Silva manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.
Silva wants to get back to full guard.
Silva wants to control but Fock passes into side.

Fock decides to stand back up. Fock steps back and let's Silva get back to his feet.
Fock lands a high kick!

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Fock feints and then cracks Silva's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Silva down.
Fock works over Silva's head and body with a nice combination.
Fock throws a combination. Silva tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
Fock moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.


Silva is rocked!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Fock lands a brutal head kick. Silva looks out on his feet and Fock throws more strikes until the ref is forced to stop the fight!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:22 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Kick and Punches). Bihg Duhm Fock!
