Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Aiko Hideyoshi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Thiago Anderson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Hideyoshi shoots in looking for a takedown. Anderson tries to sprawl out of it but Hideyoshi keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Anderson manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Hideyoshi shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.

Anderson stalks Hideyoshi and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Hideyoshi's face. Hideyoshi staggers backwards, shaken.
Anderson lets loose with a powerful body kick. Hideyoshi will feel that in the morning.
Anderson is using his reach advantage to land shots from outside his opponent's range.

Anderson scoring well with a low kick there.
A lazy left from Anderson finds it's target.
Anderson throws a leg kick which misses Hideyoshi's front leg but catches the back leg as Hideyoshi tries to avoid it.

Anderson throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Hideyoshi.

Anderson ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Anderson throws a right hand that Hideyoshi ducks under and follows up with a left that Hideyoshi also avoids with ease.

Hideyoshi bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

Hideyoshi tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Hideyoshi has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Thiago Anderson dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Hideyoshi doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.

Anderson lets loose with a powerful body kick. Hideyoshi will feel that in the morning.
Anderson goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Anderson lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Hideyoshi circles away quickly and effectively.

Anderson throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Hideyoshi throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Anderson works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

Hideyoshi decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Anderson, up you get!

Hideyoshi takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards.
Hideyoshi jabbing away but nothing is landing.

Anderson gets caught flat footed, as Hideyoshi shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close second round but I would say that Aiko Hideyoshi will probably get the nod.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!


Anderson throws a right and a left that Hideyoshi avoids nicely.
Anderson stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Anderson wants it to stay on the feet.

Hideyoshi looks like he's developed a pretty tasty lump over his left eye. He'll need to avoid taking much more damage to that.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Anderson is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.
Hideyoshi has Anderson pressed against the cage, preventing Anderson from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
A frustrated look appears on Anderson's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Hideyoshi is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Anderson gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
Anderson unloads a knee to the mid-section. Hideyoshi lets out a prehistoric sounding urrrrgh.

Anderson breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Anderson misses with a combination

and Hideyoshi counters with a nice double leg into side control. Anderson won't be happy with that.
Anderson is trying to buck Hideyoshi off.
Hideyoshi just content to control the position.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Anderson can do anything to dispel that myth.

Hideyoshi stands up and beckons Anderson to his feet.
Anderson throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Hideyoshi.
Aiko Hideyoshi is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Hideyoshi fails with the takedown.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Aiko Hideyoshi. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Anderson swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Hideyoshi tries to clinch up but Anderson circles away and keeps his distance.
Anderson lands with a thumping leg kick.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Hideyoshi crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Anderson - the referee stops the clock and Hideyoshi gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Anderson. Hideyoshi manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

and Hideyoshi counters with a single leg into guard. Anderson didn't expect that.
Hideyoshi is pushing down on Anderson's leg trying to pass to half guard. Anderson is fighting to maintain full guard but Hideyoshi has managed to sneak the leg through.
Hideyoshi content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.

And that's the end of the fight!
Aiko Hideyoshi showed his dominance in that final round.
I think Hideyoshi has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
