Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Tom Sullivan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Vice Ganda (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sullivan decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Ganda wants to get back to his feet.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Sullivan is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
Sullivan is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Still in half guard, Sullivan seems content to control.
Ganda trying to control here.
Sullivan with the ground and pound but Ganda uses the opportunity to regain guard.

Ganda is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Ganda is looking to take a break and control but Sullivan is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Sullivan moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Sullivan wants to hit a switch here but Ganda passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Sullivan there!

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

Sullivan manages to escape to his feet.

Sullivan gets caught flat footed, as Ganda shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.

Sullivan throws some sloppy strikes off his back.

Ganda might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Sullivan kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Sullivan shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Ganda as he jumps to the side.

and Sullivan counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Sullivan has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Ganda is proving hard to escape from.
Ganda wants to get back to his feet but Sullivan is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Ganda seems keen to control Sullivan's posture.
Ganda looking for a guillotine here but Sullivan defends easily.

Sullivan stands up and waves to Ganda to follow him.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Ganda shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Sullivan counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Sullivan.

Sullivan has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Ganda uses from the top position.
Sullivan is trying to keep Ganda in close.
Ganda pushing down on Sullivan's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work.
Sullivan wants to control but Ganda is keeping busy and won't allow it.

Ganda is just content to waste time from the top position. Sullivan takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Ganda is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Ganda misses with a takedown attempt
so Sullivan counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Tom Sullivan has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Vice Ganda.
Sullivan stays in close to Ganda's body and controls the position.
Ganda pulls Sullivan in to control the position.
Ganda looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Sullivan passes into half guard.
Sullivan wants to work for an arm triangle but Ganda is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Sullivan thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Ganda's head.
Sullivan seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Ganda does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Sullivan throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Ganda gets back to full guard.
Sullivan wants to get up but he can't break Ganda's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Ganda dives in and grabs Sullivan's left leg, looking for a takedown. Sullivan pushes down on Ganda's head and hops out.
Sullivan gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Ganda to score an easy takedown into full guard.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!
Ganda throws a chopping leg kick but Sullivan manages to avoid taking any serious damage.
Sullivan lands with a slapping head kick.
Sullivan looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Ganda is fending him off so far but Sullivan persists. Nope, Ganda circles away and we're back to standing.

Vice Ganda seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Ganda closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Ganda is keen to just control but Sullivan is a slippery customer.
Sullivan makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Sullivan.
Ganda stays in close to Sullivan's body and controls the position.
Tom Sullivan overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Sullivan can't keep his opponent in guard - Ganda advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Ganda content to control rather than advance.
Ganda seems to be working for a kimura but Sullivan defends the submission attempt.
Sullivan is looking for a sweep. Ganda is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Sullivan is looking to escape.
Well, if Ganda is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Sullivan is trying to get back to full guard.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Ganda takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Sullivan holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Ganda tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.
Sullivan tries to hold on but Ganda pushes him away.
Sullivan is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Ganda lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Vice Ganda comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Ganda has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
