Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Kha Ri (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Harry Phallus (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ri is coming into this fight with a significant injury, which will no doubt have an effect on his cardio. Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Phallus fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Ri avoids it really well and circles away.
Ri is breathing heavily.
No luck for Phallus with that takedown attempt.
Phallus shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Ri pinned against the cage. Ri gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Kha Ri has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Harry Phallus.
Ri takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
Ri throws a half hearted mid kick.
Phallus misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Phallus shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Ri's guard.

Ri seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.

Phallus drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Phallus jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Ri wants to sweep here but Phallus controlling him for the moment.

Phallus is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Phallus has gone for a leg lock! Ri slips out almost immediately though and dives into Phallus's guard.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

Phallus working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Ri doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Ri manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Ri is stalling in the full guard.

Ri got a little sloppy there for a moment and Phallus has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Ri has managed to get both his arms back between Phallus's legs - danger averted.
Ri throws and elbow that misses. Phallus uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Ri's guard. Nice move by Phallus!

That was a close round but I would say that Kha Ri will probably get the nod.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Ri swings for the body but Phallus moves out of range.
Ri misses with an uppercut. Phallus saw that one coming.

Phallus closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Phallus lands in his opponent's guard.

Phallus drops back looking for a leg! Ri is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Ri manages to kick Phallus off! Phallus jumps back into Ri's guard.

Ri is looking for a sweep. Phallus is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Phallus is looking to take a break and control but Ri is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Phallus wants to pass the guard but Ri is defending well.

Phallus connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
Kha Ri seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Ri uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Phallus.
Phallus shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Ri throws a nice looking combination but Phallus bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Phallus tries to score a power double leg takedown but Ri sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Phallus somewhat.
Ri misses with a hook. Phallus ducked under it nicely.
Phallus dives in and grabs Ri's left leg, looking for a takedown. Ri pushes down on Phallus's head and hops out.
Ri throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Phallus.

Phallus is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
