The judges for this bout are Steve Montenegro, Jorge Garcia and Dean Styles.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A left lands for Vatali.
Jackson tries to keep at a distance but Vatali has taken the fight into the clinch.
Vatali lands a nice uppercut.
Vatali lands a body punch in the clinch.
Vatali blocks an uppercut.
Jackson throws a punch but it's blocked by Vatali.
Vatali lands a body punch in the clinch.
Vatali turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control!
Vatali creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots.
Jackson can't do much from the bottom here.
Jackson tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Vatali wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Vatali is looking to take a break and control but Jackson is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Jackson takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
Vatali working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Jackson sneaks back into half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Vatali passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Jackson!
Jackson is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Vatali pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.
Jackson in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head.

Vatali lands a heavy elbow.
It looks like Kevin Jackson has been cut.
Vatali prevents Jackson from getting the reversal.
Vatali is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Jackson is surviving well by controlling Vatali's body position as best he can.
