The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, William Peck and Gregory Folan.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ivanov throws out a loose jab but Suraski uses good head movement to avoid it.
Suraski will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Ivanov slips a jab and a cross from Suraski.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Suraski throws a series of punches but Ivanov avoids them all with ease.
Suraski misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Ivanov has his takedown stuffed
and Suraski counters with a nice leg kick.
Ivanov scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Suraski doesn't seem bothered though.
Ivanov showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Suraski.
Suraski swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Suraski lands a body shot.
Ivanov shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Suraski manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Ivanov stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Suraski swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Suraski is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Ivanov wants to pass the guard but Suraski is keeping the position.
That's one minute gone in the round.

Suraski manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Ivanov manages to get himself to full guard.
Suraski wants to control from the top but Ivanov keeps moving.
Ivanov is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Suraski thows a big elbow that misses.
Ivanov is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a tringle but Suraski frees his head nicely. Oh but Ivanov has switched to an armbar! Suraski is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
