Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Scotty Johnson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Molina (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Molina has chosen Cowboys from Hell as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Scotty Johnson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, John Molina! The judges for this bout are Eliza Hachem, Winston Howard and Damien Edna.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Molina keeps the fight on the outside. Molina changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Johnson looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Johnson wants to control but Molina postures up. Johnson is trying to get back to half guard. Molina tries to advance to mount but Johnson denies him. Molina decides to stand up, so the ref orders Johnson to his feet. Johnson shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Molina counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Molina is looking to advance position but Johnson won't allow it. Johnson regains full guard. Nicely done. Johnson wants to get back to his feet but Molina is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Molina throwing strikes but missing. Johnson looking to control.
That's one minute gone in the round. Molina postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Johnson is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Molina, into his guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Johnson trying to control the position from guard on top but Molina is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Molina is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Johnson looking to pass the guard. Molina looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Johnson has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Molina has his foot on Johnson's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Johnson works his way back into a safe position though. Molina looks gassed! Johnson slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Johnson gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Molina looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Johnson wants to control but Molina is keeping busy and won't allow it. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Molina connects with a nice short shot to Johnson's temple. Johnson looks like he's trying to stand up.
Molina lands with a punch from half guard. Johnson wants to get back to his feet. Molina throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Johnson wants to get back to full guard. Molina is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Johnson is holding on to half guard well. Johnson is defending against the submission attempts here by Molina.
Molina is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Molina passes to full mount! Molina has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Molina has hold of Johnson's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Johnson manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Molina breaks from Johnson's wrist control and lands an elbow. Molina postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Johnson looks a forlorn figure.
Molina lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
Johnson is rocked! Molina lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Oh Johnson is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Molina landing shots from mount.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Molina looking to ground and pound his opponent to a finish here.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Molina with shots to the head and body - Johnson looks very uncomfortable down there. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Molina landing strikes from the mount and Johnson is in trouble! Molina is working to isolate an arm here. It's a choreographed submission attempt but he's gone for it anyway - and he's got it! Molina extends the arm and Johnson is forced to tap!
