Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Scott Briggs! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Oleg Dorosklov! The judges for this bout are Anthony Taglia, Russell Pearce and Dean Styles.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Dorosklov looks to score with a jab to the body but Briggs is just out of range. Dorosklov blocks a head kick by Briggs.
Dorosklov darts in and clinches Briggs up against the cage. Briggs jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Dorosklov walks away with a smile on his face. Briggs gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Oleg Dorosklov seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Dorosklov tries to clinch but Briggs moves out of range. Dorosklov lands with a kick to the temple. Briggs shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?" Nice sprawl there from Dorosklov as Briggs shoots in. Dorosklov cracks Briggs with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd. Dorosklov on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Dorosklov misses with a low kick as Briggs jumps back. Dorosklov instigates a clinch. Dorosklov is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Briggs can't fight it off and eventually Dorosklov manages to take the fight to the floor. Briggs looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Dorosklov controls from within his opponent's guard. Briggs is trying to control the position from the bottom.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Dorosklov stays in close to Briggs's body and controls the position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Briggs is trying to keep Dorosklov in close.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Dorosklov is stalling in the full guard. Dorosklov wants to get up but he can't break Briggs's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
