Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Roger Gracie! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Kalolo Tupa! The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, James Ackerman and Donald Grub.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nice sprawl there from Gracie as Tupa shoots in. Tupa fails with the takedown. Tupa dives in and grabs Gracie's left leg, looking for a takedown. Gracie pushes down on Tupa's head and hops out. Roger Gracie has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kalolo Tupa. Gracie has his takedown stuffed and Tupa counters with a series of strikes. Gracie will be more careful next time no doubt. Tupa gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Gracie counters with a nice double leg into side control. Tupa won't be happy with that. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Gracie advances nicely into full mount. Gracie controlling the pace for now.
That's one minute gone in the round. Gracie has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
The referee stands the fighters back up. Roger Gracie just wasn't active enough from the dominant position. Tupa shoots and misses so Gracie counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Gracie not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Tupa is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Gracie is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Gracie prevents Tupa from getting back to his feet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Tupa looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Tupa looks gassed! Gracie slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Gracie won't allow Tupa to sweep him here. Gracie is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves. Gracie postures up.
Tupa looking for a sweep. Not yet Tupa, not yet. Tupa will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Gracie slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Roger Gracie dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Tupa keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Tupa gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Tupa trying to control the position.

The referee stands the fighters back up. Roger Gracie just wasn't active enough from the dominant position. Gracie closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Gracie lands in his opponent's guard. Tupa throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Gracie controls from within his opponent's guard. Gracie's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. Tupa trying to keep a closed guard but Gracie is proving a slippery customer.
Tupa might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Gracie kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time. The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Tupa keeping moving, preventing Gracie from controlling successfully. Tupa working a defensive guard here.
Tupa being controlled here, momentarily. Tupa wants to stand and escape but Gracie is having none of it.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Gracie misses with a takedown and Tupa counters with a single leg into guard. Gracie didn't expect that. Tupa postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Tupais looking to pass into half guard but Gracie pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Gracie is in guard. Tupa is breathing heavily. Gracie showing good wrestling skills to control the position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Tupa shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Gracie counters with a shoot takedown. Tupa fights it but they end up in guard. Gracie slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Tupa throwing some rather feeble looking strikes off his back.
That's one minute gone in the round. Gracie trying to control but Tupa is working from the bottom.
The referee stands the fighters back up. Roger Gracie just wasn't active enough from the dominant position. Tupa tries to clinch but fails miserably and Gracie counters with a takedown into side control. Gracie moving around in side mount but really he's just happy to control for now. You can see the frustration on Tupa's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Tupa is being controlled here. Tupa tries to bench press Gracie off him but Gracie keeps the position. Gracie in side control, just content to control the action for now. Gracie working away. Gracie content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though.

Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Gracie in particular looking to stall. Tupa wants to control but Gracie passes into side.
Tupa takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Tupa prevents Gracie from improving position. Tupa can't do much from the bottom here. Gracie in side control, just content to control the action for now.
And that's the end of the fight! Roger Gracie showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Gracie, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
