The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Kometa fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Sanders avoids it really well and circles away.
Kometa tries to score a power double leg takedown but Sanders sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Kometa somewhat.

Kometa changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Sanders tries to avoid it but Kometa manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Sanders to the ground. Sanders escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Kometa tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Sanders swivels and escapes.
Artrytydo Kometa seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Kometa moves out of range of the body kick from Sanders.
Kometa is trying desperately to land a takedown but Sanders is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for Kometa.

and Kometa counters with a nice double leg into side control. Sanders won't be happy with that.
Sanders is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Kometa is trying to get an arm triangle but Sanders is defending well.
Kometa misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
Sanders is not content to let Kometa control the position.
Sanders knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Kometa on the ground.

Sanders explodes and escapes back to his feet! Nice escape there!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Kometa dives in and grabs Sanders's left leg, looking for a takedown. Sanders pushes down on Kometa's head and hops out.

Kometa closes the distance and clinches up with Sanders, looking for a takedown. Kometa pushes Sanders against the cage but Sanders circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Sanders tries to escape but Kometa is in control.

Kometa is working to tighten is grip on Sanders's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Sanders has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Kometa is really squeezing tight and eventually Sanders passes out! Kometa breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
