Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Antonio Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sean Cantenberry (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the ring.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Antonio Silva!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Sean Cantenberry!
The judges for this bout are George Francis, Wesley Smith and Gwen Towbar.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silva misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Sean Cantenberry seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Cantenberry throws a head kick but Silva moves out of range.
Cantenberry connects with a good right hand that stumbles Silva. Silva circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Cantenberry avoids the head kick by Silva.
Cantenberry misses with a few strikes there.
Cantenberry misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Cantenberry dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Silva tries to close the distance and clinch up against the ropes but Cantenberry paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Silva fails with an attempt to clinch.
Silva blocks a head kick by Cantenberry.
Cantenberry throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
A jab from Cantenberry misses.
Cantenberry tries a head kick but it misses.
Cantenberry throws a nice looking combination but Silva bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Silva gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Cantenberry looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
Silva lands an elbow that stopped Cantenberry in his tracks for a moment.
Silva tries to pull guard but Cantenberry won't allow it.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Silva jumps guard and drags Cantenberry to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
Cantenberry throws a strike but Silva rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Silva stands up from guard. Let's bang!
Cantenberry ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Silva moves away.
Silva misses with the combination.
Cantenberry tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Silva was well out of range. Poor timing from Cantenberry.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Silva.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

Silva tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Silva has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Silva tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Silva stands up.
Cantenberry tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Silva was well out of range. Poor timing from Cantenberry.
Sean Cantenberry is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Cantenberry throws a lazy right hand but Silva sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Silva shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Silva was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Silva is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Cantenberry can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
Silva is breathing heavily.

Silva is standing up out of mount! Strange tactic there - he must really want this one on the feet!
Cantenberry throws a left and a right that both miss

and Silva counters by clinching up.
Silva looking for a takedown.
Silva keeps control of Cantenberry as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Cantenberry is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the ropes.
Silva tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Antonio Silva. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Silva manages to pull guard.
Cantenberry wants to stand and escape but instead Silva has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Silva looking to pass the guard.
Silva won't allow Cantenberry to get back to his feet.
Silva wants to control from the top but Cantenberry keeps moving.

Silva drops back for a leg here. A bit of a high risk move... He's looking for a kneebar by the looks of things. Now both of them are looking for submissions. Silva seems to have locked his on tight now - Cantenberry screams in pain and taps out furiously! It certainly was a high risk move but it's paid off for Silva, as he picks up the win!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kneebar). Antonio Silva!
