Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Scott Irish (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and MJ Penn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). MJ Penn has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Scott Irish! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, MJ Penn! The judges for this bout are James Atkins, Sam Margolis and Paul Tew.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A punch combination from Irish misses. Irish throws a right hand that Penn ducks under and follows up with a left that Penn also avoids with ease. Irish rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Penn moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Irish misses with the combination.
Penn shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Irish as he jumps to the side. Penn shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away. Penn looking to control but Irish is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Irish squirming around on the bottom, looking to escape.

Penn won't let Irish get back to his feet... He wants to keep the fight where it is for now. The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Penn cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

Penn is going olschool here, as he tries to force Irish to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Irish shrugs it off. Irish is trying to stand up. Penn trying to control but Irish is having none of it. Penn lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.

Penn trying to control but Irish is having none of it. Penn is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Irish has managed to escape the submission attempt.
Penn has control of Irish's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Irish regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Penn wants to take his opponent's back but Irish doesn't allow it.

Irish trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Penn jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Irish is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Irish and Penn has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
Irish on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Irish tries to get out of the position. Irish is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Penn asserts his dominance and retains side control.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Penn is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Irish is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Penn tries for a kimura but Irish is defending well. Irish is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Penn is controlling him well. Penn wants to lay and pray for a moment but Irish keeps working. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Penn prevents Irish from escaping the position.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Irish will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

MJ Penn dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Penn closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Penn lands in his opponent's guard. Penn is pushing down on Irish's leg trying to pass to half guard. Irish is fighting to maintain full guard but Penn has managed to sneak the leg through. Penn throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Penn passes to full mount! Irish is looking to get back to his feet - it's going to be hard from this position. Irish in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Irish wants to use the cage to get back to his feet here.

MJ Penn showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's time! Irish's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!

Irish tries to bum rush Penn with a series of wild strikes but Penn uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Penn changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Irish tries to avoid it but Penn manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Irish to the ground. Irish escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Penn showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Irish.
