Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are John Mangel, Hugh Johnson and Skip Squint.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The fight moves into the clinch position.
Yang prevents a takedown attempt there.
Nelson is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Yang is defending well for now.
Nelson gets control of Yang's arms and successfully pulls guard. Nelson will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Yang postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Nelson is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Yang, into his guard.

Nelson must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Nelson looking to sit in guard and control but Yang gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Nelson is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Yang dives into side control.
Nelson tries to bench press Yang off him but Yang keeps the position.
Nelson gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.
Yang is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Nelson doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Yang.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Yang gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Yang is trying to keep Nelson in close.
Nelson content to sit in guard, stalling... Great. Oh but he could get punished here because Yang has locked up a guillotine! Yang's face is contorted as he sqeezes tight on the submission attempt - will he finish? Nelson is holding on here and Yang must be using up a lot of energy. Nelson has gone limp! He's out! He's out cold! Yang gets to his feet, tossing aside his stricken foe. Arms raised, he milks the applause from the crowd. Great submission!
