Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Samual Powers (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nicholas Hollsworth (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Powers kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Saved by the Bell. Hollsworth has chosen ABK - Hollowpoint as his entrance music. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Samual Powers! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Nicholas Hollsworth! The judges for this bout are Dean Styles, Russell Pearce and Chad Campbell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hollsworth throws a right hand that Powers ducks under and follows up with a left that Powers also avoids with ease. Powers throws a low kick, looking for Hollsworth's leg but Hollsworth calmly moves out of range. Hollsworth fails with the takedown. Powers stuffs the takedown attempt from Hollsworth. Hollsworth gets slowly back to his feet. Hollsworth misses with a takedown attempt - Powers sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Samual Powers has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Nicholas Hollsworth. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Powers finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hollsworth looks to land a combination but Powers avoids it well. Powers throws a leg kick but Hollsworth sees it coming and moves out of range. Hollsworth fails with a takedown attempt. A jab from Hollsworth misses. Hollsworth closes this distance looking for a takedown but Powers circles away. Powers pivots, looking for a leg kick but Hollsworth is out of range and Powers settles back down.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Hollsworth checks a leg kick nicely. Hollsworth moves out of range of the leg kick from Powers. Powers fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Hollsworth is out of range. Powers motions for Hollsworth to come forward. Powers throws a leg kick but it misses it's target. Powers slaps away a takedown attempt from Hollsworth, before circling back to the center of the mat. Hollsworth looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hollsworth shoots in for a takedown but Powers shows good takedown defense. Hollsworth has a takedown stuffed. Hollsworth checks a leg kick. Powers attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin. Some wild striking there from Hollsworth.
Hollsworth closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Powers did well to prevent Hollsworth getting side control.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Hollsworth wants to pass the guard but Powers is defending well. Hollsworth wants to lay and pray for a moment but Powers keeps working. Powers trying to control here.
Hollsworth is looking to stall here but Powers recovers full guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Powers is on top in guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Samual Powers will probably get the nod. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Hollsworth shoots in but no luck this time. Nice sprawl there from Powers as Hollsworth shoots in. Powers misses with a low kick. Hollsworth changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Powers looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Powers struggling a bit here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Powers is looking for a sweep. Powers prevents Hollsworth from improving position. Powers tries to buck Hollsworth off but Hollsworth is having none of it. Powers trying his best to control but Hollsworth has mounted him. Poor strikes thrown by Hollsworth there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!
Powers is looking to improve his position but Hollsworth isn't that keen on the idea. Hollsworth landing strikes from the mount and Powers is in trouble!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Hollsworth dominating with strikes here. Powers is wriggling around trying to escape.

Powers is looking to improve his position but Hollsworth isn't that keen on the idea. Hollsworth lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Powers wants to hold on but Hollsworth pushes him away. Hollsworth lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Powers hang on? Powers is looking to get to half guard. Powers taking shots to the head. Hollsworth can't control as he wanted to and Powers manages to get the fight back to his half guard. Hollsworth not doing much here.
Hollsworth throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Hollsworth lands a nice short elbow. Powers has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Hollsworth is working away from the top position though. Powers regains full guard. Nicely done. Powers is trying to control the position but Hollsworth postures up. Hollsworth stopping the sweep attempt from Powers. Powers trying to keep a closed guard but Hollsworth is proving a slippery customer.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Nicholas Hollsworth showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!
A bone on bone clash there as Hollsworth blocks the leg kick.
Hollsworth shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Powers pinned against the cage. Powers gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Hollsworth shoots in for a takedown but Powers shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Hollsworth will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Hollsworth throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Powers. Powers throws a leg kick but Hollsworth checks it. Hollsworth shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Powers as he jumps to the side. Samual Powers has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Nicholas Hollsworth. Powers displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Hollsworth.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Hollsworth checks a leg kick. Hollsworth misses with a head kick.
Powers stuffs the takedown attempt from Hollsworth. Hollsworth gets slowly back to his feet. Nicholas Hollsworth seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Hollsworth misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hollsworth dives in and grabs Powers's left leg, looking for a takedown. Powers pushes down on Hollsworth's head and hops out. Powers throws a solid leg kick but Hollsworth takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Powers. Powers misses with a low kick. Hollsworth fails with the takedown. Powers shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down. Powers attempts a low kick but it misses it's target.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Good work by Hollsworth as he checks the leg kick. Powers throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land. Hollsworth tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Powers swivels and escapes. Hollsworth shoots for a takedown but Powers saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Hollsworth checks a low kick from Powers. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Powers throws a front kick aimed at Hollsworth's knee but Hollsworth avoids it well.
And that's the end of the fight! Samual Powers showed his dominance in that final round. I think Powers has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
