Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Rocky Cobra (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Micheal King (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Micheal King acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Rocky Cobra!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Micheal King!
The judges for this bout are John Mangel, Steve Erwin and Winston Howard.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
King takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Cobra looks to land a right hand but King moved out of range.
King shoots in and drives through. Cobra sprawls well.
King throws a push kick but Cobra slaps the foot to one side.
Cobra swats away the attempt to clinch by King.
King fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Cobra missing with a left hand there. King was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
King fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Rocky Cobra has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Micheal King.
Cobra slips under a jab.
Cobra misses with an uppercut. King saw that one coming.
Cobra misses with a two punch combination.
Cobra lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but King circles away quickly and effectively.
Cobra fails to land with a series of punches.
King misses with a body kick.

King closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Cobra is breathing heavily.
King looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.

King gets to his feet - back to striking we go!
Cobra lands a nice shot that snaps King's head back.
Cobra lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Cobra looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Cobra stuffs the takedown attempt from King. King gets slowly back to his feet.
Cobra tries to bum rush King with a series of wild strikes but King uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

No luck for King with that takedown attempt.
King is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
King showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Cobra.
Cobra misses with a straight left.
Cobra slaps away a takedown attempt from King, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Cobra throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Rocky Cobra is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Cobra stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Nice sprawl there from Cobra as King shoots in.
Cobra throws a right and a left that King avoids nicely.
King shoots in but Cobra avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Cobra throws a hook but King avoids it easily.
Cobra is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all.

A punch combination from Cobra misses.
Cobra defends well against a solid takedown attempt from King.
Cobra blocks a head kick by King.
Cobra throws a shot from downtown. King moves away and avoids it.
A slow jab from Cobra misses its intended target.

King scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.

King swings around for an armbar but Cobra sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into King's guard.

Cobra gets to his feet. King looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
A right-left combo lands from Cobra.
King wants to clinch up but Cobra keeps it at a distance.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
King shoots in for a takedown but Cobra shows good takedown defense.
King dodges the punch combination from Cobra.
Cobra looks to land a combination but King avoids it well.
The fighters circling - Cobra throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
King shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Cobra but Cobra pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Cobra scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
A lazy left from Cobra finds it's target.
Nice cross by Cobra.
King shoots in for a double leg but Cobra sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Cobra throws a hook but King blocks it.
King moves away from the strike by Cobra.
Cobra looks to land a left hand but King moved out of range nicely.
King misses the shot to the body.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Rocky Cobra dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.



King shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.

King goes for an armbar but Cobra turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Cobra.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
King has an active guard here but Cobra has managed to pass into half guard.
King wants to get back to his feet.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Cobra is figuring out what he wants to do next.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
King tries to get to full guard but Cobra has control of the leg.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

King is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Cobra pulls his head out easily.
Cobra slows the pace down in half guard.

Cobra stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows King to get to his feet.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Cobra throws a series of punches but King moves out of range.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
A decent looking cross lands there for Cobra.
King shoots in and drives through. Cobra sprawls well.
Cobra throws a right and a left that King avoids nicely.
Cobra throws a jab when King was well out of range.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Rocky Cobra dominated that second round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! And we move into the final round!


King will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Cobra listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut.
A slow jab from Cobra misses its intended target.
King moves away from the strike by Cobra.
Cobra throws a combination that misses

and King decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Cobra's guard.
King trying to control but Cobra is working from the bottom.
King postures up.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
King wants to control from the top but Cobra keeps moving.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Cobra looking for a sweep. Not yet Cobra, not yet.
Cobra wants to get back to his feet but King is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
King looking to control the position here, rather than advance.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
King advances position into side control!
Cobra pushes King away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, King gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
King working the ground and pound but Cobra is defending the strikes.
A lull in the action here.
King wants to lay and pray for a moment but Cobra keeps working.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

King thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Cobra throws King to one side and escapes!

And that's the end of the fight!
Micheal King comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Cobra has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
