Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Steach Gibbins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Selly Sel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gibbins comes to the cage accompanied by Immortal Corruptor. On his way into the cage it seems that Steach Gibbins has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Steach Gibbins seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Steach Gibbins! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Selly Sel! The judges for this bout are Damien Edna, Summer Carpenter and Winston Howard.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sel rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Gibbins moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Gibbins throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Sel's waist but Sel gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Gibbins off to one side. Gibbins changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Sel tries to avoid it but Gibbins manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Sel to the ground. Sel escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Gibbins wants to clinch up but Sel keeps it at a distance. Sel avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it! Sel closes the distance and lands a one-two.
It looks like Steach Gibbins has been cut. Sel throws a shot to the body.
Nice takedown defense from Sel. No joy for Gibbins on that attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Steach Gibbins. That's going to take a lot out of him. Gibbins looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Sel is fending him off so far but Gibbins persists. Nope, Sel circles away and we're back to standing. Gibbins misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Sel swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Sel lands a right hook to the body.
Steach Gibbins seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Gibbins is breathing heavily. Gibbins shoots for a double leg takedown but Sel sprawls well. He's pushed Gibbins's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Sel scores with a nice head shot. Gibbins fails with a takedown attempt. Sel lands a nice shot that snaps Gibbins's head back.
Sel with a jab. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Sel!
Sel tests Gibbins's chin there with a solid looking shot. Sel scores a takedown into full mount! We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Sel is standing up, even though he is in mount.
That's one minute gone in the round. Gibbins walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush. Sel bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Gibbins's head. Jab by Sel. Gibbins misses with a takedown and Sel counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work. Sel fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Gibbins on the side of the head. Sel shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away. Sel controlling his opponent.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Sel trying to control but he's not successful this time. Gibbins is looking to improve his position but Sel isn't that keen on the idea. Gibbins taking shots to the head.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Sel trying to control but he's not successful this time. Gibbins keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Sel goes for an armbar but Gibbins turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Gibbins. Sel keeping full guard, as Gibbins tries to pass.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Sel wriggles free and stands up. Sel gets caught flat footed, as Gibbins shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Gibbins slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Gibbins wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Sel, who protects the arm well. Sel regains half guard there - taking advantage of Gibbins's attempt to lay and pray for a moment. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Gibbins is trying to work for a kimura but Sel is defending well.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Selly Sel dominated that round. The cut man is working on Steach Gibbins's cut. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Gibbins misses with a takedown and Sel counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Sel stuns Gibbins with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range. Sel throws a series of punches but Gibbins moves out of range. Selly Sel seems to be getting the better of the standup. Gibbins avoids a punch combination nicely.
Gibbins tries for a takedown but Sel circles away easily and Sel counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Sel wants to stand but Gibbins is controlling his posture from full guard. Sel is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Let's hope that Sel has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sel is looking to stand up but Gibbins won't let him.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Gibbins looking to hit a scissor sweep but Sel is one step ahead there. Sel must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Gibbins fails with the takedown so Sel counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Steach Gibbins. That's going to take a lot out of him. Sel preventing the sweep. Gibbins working away from the bottom but not quite defensive enough there because Sel has passed into half guard!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Sel is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Gibbins sees it coming and defends easily. Sel decides to stand up. Sel lands with a nice body punch. Gibbins misses with a takedown attempt and Sel counters with a left and a right that stings Gibbins.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Sel scores with a punch to the head. Gibbins doesn't succeed with the takedown and Sel counters with a nice double leg into guard. Gibbins wants to sweep here but Sel controlling him for the moment. Sel wanted to stand there but Gibbins had control of the position. Sel has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Sel stands up and waves to Gibbins to follow him. Selly Sel is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Gibbins doesn't succeed with the takedown and Sel counters with a three punch combo that has Gibbins backing up. Gibbins nods at Sel to acknowledge the strikes. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Selly Sel showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The cut man is working on Steach Gibbins's cut. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!

Sel looking to sit in guard and control but Gibbins gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Gibbins is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Gibbins drops back for a leg here. A bit of a high risk move... He's looking for a kneebar by the looks of things. Now both of them are looking for submissions. Gibbins seems to have locked his on tight now - Sel screams in pain and taps out furiously! It certainly was a high risk move but it's paid off for Gibbins, as he picks up the win!
