Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Mariusz Pudzianowski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Olivier Bouleau (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bouleau has chosen kevin rudolf - let it rock as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. 3 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Olivier Bouleau! The judges for this bout are Hugh Johnson, Steve Erwin and Summer Carpenter.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Pudzianowski pushes Bouleau up against the cage in a clinch. Bouleau looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now. Pudzianowski breaks the clinch.
Pudzianowski tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Bouleau paws at him with a jab and circles away. Bouleau looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Pudzianowski! Bouleau jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Pudzianowski is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Pudzianowski and Bouleau has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
Bouleau thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. You can see the frustration on Pudzianowski's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Pudzianowski really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Pudzianowski is trying to get back to half guard. Pudzianowski is working hard here to advance position.

Bouleau thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Pudzianowski holding on. Bouleau is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Pudzianowski is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Bouleau looks gassed! Pudzianowski is looking to regain half guard here but Bouleau keeps moving and retains side control.

Bouleau thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Bouleau pushes down on Pudzianowski's leg and manages to get into half guard. Pudzianowski gets back to full guard.
Bouleau stops Pudzianowski from standing up. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Bouleau ducks under a wild hook from Pudzianowski. Pudzianowski shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Bouleau counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Bouleau is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Pudzianowski doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Bouleau. Pudzianowski is not content to let Bouleau control the position. Pudzianowski is trying to stand up here but Bouleau is controlling him well. Pudzianowski knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Bouleau on the ground. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Bouleau wants to pass the guard but Pudzianowski is defending well. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
