Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 1, fighting out of Amsterdam, Sam Royal! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Donny Devito! The judges for this bout are Saam Ante, Daniel Blasius and Radbod Blank.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Royal throws a low kick but it's checked well by Devito. Sam Royal seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Devito shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Devito was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Royal tries to hold on but Devito postures up. Devito is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Royal has managed to escape the submission attempt.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Devito slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Royal rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Devito moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Devito shoots in and drives through. Royal sprawls well. Devito looks to score with a jab to the body but Royal is just out of range. Royal leaves Devito with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Royal misses with a body shot
and Devito counters with a body kick. Royal lands with a nice combination. Devito backs away looking to recover. Royal pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way. Nice takedown defense from Royal. No joy for Devito on that attempt. Sam Royal has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Donny Devito. Royal fails to land with a series of punches.
Devito shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Devito was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Devito in mount throwing good strikes here, bouncing his opponent's head off the canvas.
Royal wants to get back to his feet.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Devito cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Devito has hold of Royal's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Royal manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Devito scoring with strikes but Royal is staying in there. Devito swings around for an armbar and he's got it! Wow, that came out of nowhere! What a finish!
