PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Lance Vanvalkenburg (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Crispin ONeal (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Vanvalkenburg might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Enter Sandman - Metallica. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A decent looking cross lands there for ONeal.
Vanvalkenburg shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. ONeal defends it nicely.
Lance Vanvalkenburg seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Vanvalkenburg shoots in but ONeal avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Vanvalkenburg shoots in looking for a takedown. ONeal tries to sprawl out of it but Vanvalkenburg keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. ONeal manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Vanvalkenburg feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Vanvalkenburg swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and ONeal is now in Vanvalkenburg's guard. A big mistake from Vanvalkenburg there, giving up the dominant position!
ONeal won't allow Vanvalkenburg to sweep him here.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

ONeal wants to get up but he can't break Vanvalkenburg's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Vanvalkenburg has his foot on ONeal's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. ONeal works his way back into a safe position though.
