Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Paul Normandale (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rick Davis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, Paul Normandale! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Rick Davis! The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, James Ackerman and James Atkins.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Normandale needs to keep his hands up - Davis had a free shot at his head there. Davis looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Normandale looks to land a combination but Davis avoids it well. Davis scores with a three punch combo!
Davis throws a body punch but Normandale moves out of range. Davis misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

Davis scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Normandale checks a low kick from Davis. Davis throws a shot to the body.
Nice cross by Davis. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. No luck with that takedown attempt from Normandale. Davis lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
That's one minute gone in the round. Davis's corner calls for a 1,2 combination and Davis duly obliges. Normandale drives through with a takedown into guard. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Normandale throwing strikes but missing. The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves. Normandale in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Davis tries to land a sweep but no joy. Davis keeping full guard, as Normandale tries to pass. Davis is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Davis is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Davis is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Normandale throws a big right hand that misses. Normandale has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Normandale fails with a takedown attempt. Davis cracks a nice hook into Normandale's ribs. Normandale is breathing heavily. Davis works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Nice uppercut lands for Davis. That snapped Normandale's head back.
Davis drops Normandale with a beautiful combination! Normandale stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Davis is looking for the KO!
Normandale is rocked! Paul Normandale seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Davis throws an uppercut from hell that sends Normandale clean off his feet! He's out cold! Davis stands back and admires his work as he thinks about that KO of the night award that is surely being wrapped up for him back stage.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:40 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Rick Davis!
