Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between YB Sol (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Andrew Carter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Sol might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to SFIV - Theme of Ryu 2. Both these fighters are unbeaten, so somebody's 0 has got to go!YB Sol could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Andrew Carter's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the light heavyweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
9 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, YB Sol! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Andrew Carter! The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Ian Loll and Alec Ball.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sol scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard. Sol throws a right and a left that Carter avoids nicely. Sol lands a two punch combo.
Sol scores with a jab. Carter acknowledges it with a nod of the head. Carter tries to clinch but Sol is having none of it. Sol swats away the attempt to clinch by Carter. Carter fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Carter tries for a takedown but Sol sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Carter looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple. Carter uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Sol.
Carter fails with a takedown attempt from distance. YB Sol has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Andrew Carter. Carter showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Sol.
Carter takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.

Carter is rocked! Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Carter pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Carter is still on wobbly legs! Can Sol finish him?
That's one minute gone in the round. Carter changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Sol looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Sol tries to bench press Carter off him but Carter keeps the position. Carter seems to have recovered his senses. Sol tries to escape but Carter is in control. Sol prevents Carter from moving into mount. Sol sneaks back into half guard. Carter is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Carter is looking to take a break and control but Sol is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Carter throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Carter is keen to just control but Sol is a slippery customer.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Sol lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Carter at a distance.
Carter looks gassed!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Carter fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Sol tries to bum rush Carter with a series of wild strikes but Carter uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Sol looking for a takedown here - he's got it. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Carter looking for a guillotine here but Sol defends easily.
Sol wants to stand but Carter is controlling his posture from full guard. Carter will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Sol avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Carter is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage. Sol postures up.
Carter has a closed guard, preventing Sol from standing up.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Sol with a hook. Sol dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Sol avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Carter has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him. Sol misses with a straight left.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Carter misses with a takedown and Carter takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Sol lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook. Carter walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head. Sol lands with an uppercut that bounces Carter off the cage and back into rage. Carter misses with a takedown and Sol counters with a huge left! Carter is in big trouble! He's backing up but Sol isn't giving him chance to recover. Under a barage of punches the ref has to step in to save Carter from any more damage. A dominating finish by Sol!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:26 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). YB Sol! YB Sol retains his light heavyweight title!
