Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Sigurd Overgaard (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Blacky Wilshere (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Wilshere comes into a darkened arena with his song building. YMCA kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Shirou Masuda, Shigeki Sano and Hirohito Nitta.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wilshere misses with a series of wild punches.
Overgaard slips a jab and a cross from Wilshere.
Wilshere swats away the attempt to clinch by Overgaard.
Overgaard swinging wilding here.
Overgaard changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Wilshere tries to avoid it but Overgaard manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Wilshere to the ground. Wilshere escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Overgaard moves into range and clinches up with Wilshere.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Wilshere.
Overgaard lands an elbow that stopped Wilshere in his tracks for a moment.
It looks like Blacky Wilshere has been cut.
Wilshere wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Overgaard has him pressed against the cage.

Wilshere gets through Overgaard's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Overgaard moves into the clinch successfully.
A frustrated look appears on Wilshere's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Overgaard breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Wilshere uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Overgaard has time to react.
Wilshere throws a right and a left that Overgaard avoids nicely.
Overgaard thumps Wilshere with a low kick.
Wilshere throws the left hand but Overgaard avoids the punch easily.
A telegraphed right hand from Wilshere misses the target.

Overgaard misses the shot to the body.
Overgaard moves into the clinch.
Overgaard landing some nice looking knees to the body.
Wilshere is trying to force a seperation but Overgaard has the dominant position.

Wilshere is pressed up against the cage. Overgaard has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Wilshere down to the mat. Wilshere avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

Overgaard clinches up against the cage.
Overgaard has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Wilshere uses from the top position.
Wilshere is looking to stand up but Overgaard won't let him.

Wilshere is working Overgaard over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

Wilshere really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Overgaard. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Overgaard is pulling down on Wilshere's head. It's preventing any offense from Wilshere, at least for the moment.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Overgaard seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.
Wilshere trying to control the position from guard on top but Overgaard is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Wilshere would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Wilshere misses with a hook. Overgaard ducked under it nicely.
Wilshere falls off balance throwing a combination
and Overgaard moves into the clinch.

No joy there for Wilshere, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Wilshere is really struggling to land any decent head shots against his taller opponent.
Nice takedown defense from Wilshere. No joy for Overgaard on that attempt.

Overgaard takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
It looks like Sigurd Overgaard has been cut.
A big left from Wilshere misses.
Wilshere cracks Overgaard with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Overgaard looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Wilshere finish him?
Overgaard is rocked!
Overgaard uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Wilshere.
Oh Overgaard is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Wilshere rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Overgaard moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Overgaard tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Wilshere swats away the attempt to clinch by Overgaard.

Overgaard throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Wilshere's waist but Wilshere gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Overgaard off to one side.
Overgaard seems to have got his legs back now.
Wilshere misses with an uppercut. Overgaard saw that one coming.

Wilshere throws a hook to the side of Overgaard's head but Overgaard sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

Wilshere stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Wilshere wants it to stay on the feet.
