Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between David Blaze (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Valerij Palcuwow (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, David Blaze! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Valerij Palcuwow! The judges for this bout are Vladimir Khabensky, Igor Prikhodko and Sergei Dronov.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Palcuwow doesn't manage to clinch there - Blaze circles away.
Blaze closes the distance looking to clinch
and Palcuwow counters with a shoot takedown. Blaze fights it but they end up in guard. Blaze wants to stand up but Palcuwow is controlling him. Blaze looking for a sweep. Not yet Blaze, not yet.
Blaze is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Palcuwow is aware though and is defending well. Blaze preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Blaze utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Palcuwow trying to control but Blaze is working from the bottom. Blaze avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Blaze manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Palcuwow is just holding on here. Blaze manages to take his back.
Palcuwow covering up well under a series of strikes from Blaze. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Blaze is trying to control but Palcuwow is trying to escape here - he's now mounted.
Palcuwow regains half guard. Palcuwow is looking for a sweep. Blaze is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. Palcuwow keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Palcuwow has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Blaze is working away from the top position though. Blaze works his way into full mount! Palcuwow is in all sorts of trouble here.

Blaze goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Palcuwow is on top in guard.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. Palcuwow throws a strike but Blaze rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Palcuwow tries to land a sweep but no joy. Palcuwow being controlled here, momentarily. Palcuwow controlling the position.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Blaze preventing the sweep. Palcuwow is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Blaze might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Blaze stands and steps away. Palcuwow gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Palcuwow shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Palcuwow passes Blaze's left leg - he's now in half guard.
Palcuwow is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Blaze has managed to free his arm - good work. And that�s the end of the round � the fighters go back to their corners.
Valerij Palcuwow dominated that round. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!
Palcuwow looks for a takedown but Blaze sprawls well.
Palcuwow has Blaze up against the cage in a clinch.
Blaze escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Blaze drives through and clinches with Palcuwow against the cage.
Blaze tries to pull guard but Palcuwow holds him up against the cage and eventually Blaze drops back down to his feet.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Palcuwow looking to hit a scissor sweep but Blaze is one step ahead there. Palcuwow working a defensive guard here.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Palcuwow can do anything to dispel that myth.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Palcuwow has a closed guard, preventing Blaze from standing up.

Blaze thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Blaze showing good wrestling skills to control the position.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Blaze trying to pass the guard. He's being very persistent here but Palcuwow manages to land a sweep and now he's on top! Palcuwow throwing strikes from guard but Blaze blocks nicely.
 It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Palcuwow shoots in for a takedown but Blaze shows good takedown defense. Blaze shoots and misses
and Palcuwow counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Palcuwow.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. Blaze drops down looking for an ankle pick but Palcuwow pulls his leg out and moves away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for David Blaze. That's going to take a lot out of him. Palcuwow tries to close the distance and clinch but Blaze swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Palcuwow closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Blaze defending against the ground and pound. Blaze tries to buck Palcuwow off but Palcuwow is having none of it. Palcuwow working away.
Palcuwow decides to stand back up. Palcuwow tries to work over Blaze's front leg with a kick but Blaze checks it. Palcuwow dives in and grabs Blaze's left leg, looking for a takedown. Blaze pushes down on Palcuwow's head and hops out.
Palcuwow closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. Palcuwow working away.
Palcuwow wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Blaze, who protects the arm well. Palcuwow wants to lay and pray for a moment but Blaze keeps working.
Palcuwow swings around for an armbar but Blaze sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Palcuwow's guard. And that�s the end of the round � the fighters go back to their corners.
Valerij Palcuwow showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! This is the final round!

Blaze shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Palcuwow's guard. Blaze wants to control from the top but Palcuwow keeps moving. A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Palcuwow holds on and takes a little breather. Blaze trying to control the position from guard on top but Palcuwow is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Palcuwow is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Palcuwow trying to control the action but Blaze is working from the bottom.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Palcuwow missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Blaze wants to control but Palcuwow is keeping busy and won't allow it. Palcuwow prevents Blaze from standing back up.
Palcuwow is taking a breather. Blaze says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. Palcuwow wants to free his trapped foot but Blaze is holding on for dear life with his legs. Blaze has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Palcuwow is working away from the top position though. Palcuwow wants to pass to mount but Blaze is defending the position.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
 Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Palcuwow fails with the takedown
and Blaze counters by clinching up. Palcuwow tries for a takedown but Blaze manages to get underhooks.
Palcuwow is working for takedown but Blaze is calmly controlling the position for now. David Blaze has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Valerij Palcuwow.

Palcuwow is looking to work some ground and pound but Blaze has wrist control. Palcuwow is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. Palcuwow loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Blaze wants to stand and escape but Palcuwow is having none of it. Palcuwow is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. Palcuwow postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. Blaze has a closed guard, preventing Palcuwow from standing up. Blaze controlling Palcuwow's posture. Blaze being controlled here, momentarily. Palcuwow throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Blaze controls Palcuwow momentarily but Palcuwow frees himself. Blaze keeping moving, preventing Palcuwow from controlling successfully. Palcuwow must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Palcuwow throwing strikes but missing.
 Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Palcuwow shoots for a double leg takedown but Blaze sprawls well. He's pushed Palcuwow's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Blaze tries for a takedown but Palcuwow circles away easily
and Palcuwow counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Palcuwow. David Blaze has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Valerij Palcuwow is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

And that's the end of the fight! I would just about give that final round to Valerij Palcuwow. I've got Palcuwow winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
